アラン・パーソンズ・プロジェクトの最新リマスターシリーズ、
「イヴの肖像」「アンモニア・アヴェニュー」「ガウディ」
残りの３枚がリリースされ、いよいよ全作品完結します。
さて、１９７９年発表のこのアルバム「イヴの肖像」は、それまでのプログレ色から抜けだし、
ポップロック路線を大きく打ち出した実験的作品なのでした。
ポップな内容に反して、ジャケは右側の女性の顔のできものをベールでカモフラージュするといった、
何とも不思議な印象を抱かせています。
それ故、売れ行きは今ひとつで失敗作のイメージが強くなっています。
しかし、名曲や貴重曲があり、ＡＰＰファンには欠かせない１枚なのです。
まず、オープニングを飾るインスト曲「ルシファー」は、オリジナルのロングバージョンで、
ベスト盤がシングルテイク収録なので、価値があります。
シングルカットされた「沈黙Damned If I Do」も、前奏の長いアルバムバージョンです。
ラストの「願いIf I Could Change Your Mind」は、
ＡＰＰには珍しい女性ボーカルをフューチャーした隠れた名バラードですよ。
