　巻頭まず「多読ってすごくやさしい本から始めるのよね、大人が子どもの本を楽しめるのかしら？」という疑問に、答えてくれます。レベル0〜1のごくやさしい本の必要性、そこから得られるもの、その楽しさを帰国子女の英語講師や、多読が趣味になった会社員などが語ります。
　そしてやさしい本のシリーズをフィクション・ノンフィクションに分けて紹介。音源の難易度も、このマガジンですっかりおなじみになったマップ方式で示されています。さらには3冊のやさしい本を取り上げ、実際のページを見ながら、そこでどんなことが学べるのか具体的に説明してくれるページまであり、これなら誰でも独力で多読が始められることでしょう。
　子ども英語教室を中心にブームが起きている、Oxford Reading Treeの作者とイラストレーターに聞く、創作の裏話も楽しい。これはインタビューの模様を「生素材」で聞くこともできます。
　「快聴快読ライブラリ」では、まだあまり知られていないオーストラリアのFast Forwardシリーズからノンフィクションものを紹介、Cambridge English Readersの中でも最高人気のInspector Loganもあります。

子供に毎晩簡単な本を読んでいますがシャドーイングにも興味があり、またこれから
どんな本を購入したらよいか迷っていたのでこちらを選びました。
特に人気のOxford Reading Treeが音源つきで入っているとともに作者たちの裏話もあり面白かったです。
それから推理小説好きの人ならInspector Loganも試せるのでいいですね。
各社で多読のためのいろんなシリーズがあって迷っていたのでレベル0から始めるはかなり参考になりました。
毎晩簡単な本を読んであげていただけなのに自分も読む力がつき、子供のインプットにも多大な成果をあげているので多読はやはり効果があると感じているとともに、この記事でなるほどと気づかされることが多々あり満足しています。
