あー、これは凄いなあ。
何だか、やられた。前後不覚に陥った。
すばらしかった前作"The tired sound of stars of the lid"を、超えていると言ってもいいだろう。
音の輪郭はさらに曖昧になり、トラック間のつなぎ目はもはや僕らには判別しづらく、そこではひたすらゆらめく音にただ感情と漠然とした記憶だけがうっすらとのっかっているようなもので、聴いていると僕らの意識は少しずつ音景に溶け出していくよう。
深夜一人でこれを聴いているのだけれど、何とも言えないほんわかとした音が部屋全体に染み渡ります。
stars of the lidの場合、トラックの長さもまた、美徳だ。前作と同じ２枚組というボリュームもうれしい。
しかも、全編聴いていて全く疲れない。
この作品が、アブストラクト不毛の地アメリカで生まれたというのも驚きだ。
