１９７３年、藤田敏八監督、原田芳雄、桃井かおり出演の映画『赤い鳥逃げた？』のサントラ

当時レコードを買い、映画館に頼みポスターも貰い、原田芳雄さんに夢中になっていた頃でもあります、

ピコこと樋口康雄さんは当時天才と称され絶対音感の持ち主でもあり、
あの時代の雰囲気をよく表した音楽になっております、

唄っている安田南さんはあの西岡恭蔵さんの「プカプカ」のモデルとも言われておりました、作家の片岡義男さんと二人でラジオ番組も持っておりましたが、随分前から行方不明と言う事で、ジャズ好きの私などはどうなさっておられるのかと今でも関心がございます。

原田さん達が唄っている「愛情砂漠」も原田さんがレコードに吹き込まれた最初ではなかったかと思いますが、
当時のＴＢＳのパックインミュージックの林さんの時間には原田さんが何度かスタジオ内で唄ってるのを毎回テープに録ったのを今だに持っておりますソニーの紙箱テープのままで、あの「りんご追分」も。

この頃樋口康雄さんが再評価されているのはとても嬉しいことですね。
日本映画のサントラとしては曲全体が統一されていますしＢＧＭとしても今でも聴ける物だと思いますが、

73年公開の同名映画のサントラ盤で、おそらく初CD化。
映画は観たことないし、樋口康雄という作曲家の存在も知らなかったのですが、これは素晴らしいサントラですね!軽快なプレイのリズム隊に、サイケな音色のファズ・ギター、叙情的な吹奏楽器などが活躍してます。そして一番の魅力は、全曲に流れる素朴で暖かい、美しい旋律にあります。70年代日本の古き良き情景だったり、当時の若者たちが抱えていた挫折感といったものが、このサウンドに包まれているようです。
オーケストラをバックに従えた楽曲が大半ですが、これら全ての作曲・編曲を手がけた樋口氏は、当時なんと21歳だったそうで、調べてみてビックリです!
