前作「Spiral」もいいですが、このCDも十分楽しめました。2曲目「Time Flies」の疾走感に酔い、8曲目の「Time Out」では曲の流れの美しさに酔わされます。CDを聴いた後に、この両曲をライブで聴く機会がありましたが、快感でした。ライブもおすすめ。

うーん、ひろみ４枚目。めちゃくちゃわくわく楽しみに、そして今回こそはいまいちかもと、どきどきしながら聴きました｡しかし、やはり良い！良い物は良いです｡
これまでのひろみを残しつつ、斬新さもあります。やはり、エレキギターが入ったことでつくりあげられた曲、であります。楽器が４つになったからといって、スパイラル以前に戻ったって感じではないんですよ。あたらしい４つの楽器、という感じなわけです。anther mindの曲が楽器それぞれがきれいになっていて、すべてがききあって、全体がジャズとしてまとまっているとするなら、今回のはそれと違うんです｡
音の数がいっっぱいあるんです。音の数が多くて酔っちゃうんです｡それぞれの楽器が出す音の数がいっぱいあるんです。そして、それぞれがものすごいテクニックとノリでがんがん鳴っていて、人の音きいてないみたいくらいになっているのに、がしゃぁって絡み合っていて、相乗相乗って感じに重なり合っているんです｡
それから、これまでより機械的な音も使っててエレクトリック。曲によるけど。で、グルーブ感がすごいのと、テクニックもそれぞれがすごいのと、うーん単純に圧倒されます。
Time Outあたりが踊れちゃうなーって感じでノリ的には聞きやすいですかね。
とにかく、ひろみサウンド４枚目。早くきいた方がいいです！

4枚目のアルバム。
ギターを加えた、"HIROMI'S SONICBLOOM"というユニットを結成したとのことで、音のまとまりというか、バンドとしての一体感はとってもあります。
上原ひろみが矢継ぎ早に仕掛ける、超絶技巧で挑発的なフレーズ。これにリズムセクションがちゃんと応え、もっとスゴイフレーズを繰り出してくる。
と、ここまではいいのですが、ギターがなんとかならないかと。
僕はこういった曲は、どうしてもギターの音を拾ってしまう(中心に聴く)のですが、
オーバードライブの音に新鮮味がない、
微妙に変化をつけてますが、どの曲も同じように聴こえてしまう。
あからさまにエフェクターを使うのは下品ですが、
アコースティックジャズではないので、あまりにシンプルなのもいかがなものかと。
早いパッセージは得意のようですが、フレージングは単調。これはベースも同じ。

昔のハードフュージョンというか、どこかに書いてありましたが、プログレッシブロックやまるでKingCrimsonのようです。
だったらいっそのこと、ハードを飛び越えヘビメタにしちゃえばと。
それは極論にしても、せっかくのピアノやキーボードの魅力が半減してしまっているように聴こえます。少なくとも僕には。
