上高地のブルーレイが素晴らしかったので、しばらく悩んでこれを買ってみました。

感想は

えっ？　これ本当にハイビジョン？　嘘だぁ〜〜！？
絶対にハイビジョンとは信じられない画質の粗さ。
まるでＶＨＳﾃｰﾌﾟを観ているかのような出来に絶句です。。。
色味もイマイチ、露出やホワイトバランスも悪い。
音楽で誤魔化そうとしているが、とても画の悪さのフォローには
程足りない。

あぁ〜　涙・・・

「桜爛漫〜Spring in Japan〜(DVD版)」のブルーレイ化作品です。

V-musicシリーズの他の作品と同様、主役である音楽に既存の映像素材を組み合わせたものなので、映像作品としては凡庸といえば凡庸です。充実しつつある、ブルーレイで発売することを意図した専用の作品に比べれば、かなり低いレベルといわざるを得ないでしょう。これも同シリーズのほかの作品でもそうですが、ハイビジョンを謳っているわりには、そうとは思えないような (またはカメラマンが下手な) 粗い画像も混じっていますし。より高画質で、よりコンセプトのはっきりとしたものを期待するのなら「夜桜」を選択されたほうがよいでしょう。

内容は、NHKで深夜に流しっぱなしになっている、ナレーションなしの音楽付き映像番組や、ニュースの合間に挿入されている季節の話題をつなぎ合わせたもの、を想像していただければ、おおむね正しいと思います。特に、後者 (ニュースの合間に挿入されている季節の話題) で撮りためた映像らしいのが多く、

・事実をそのままに伝えようという意図が強過ぎて、被写体への迫り方がすごく普通。構図がすごく普通。
・特に何日も何時間も粘って撮ろういう意識はないので、天候も時間帯もいまいち。
・避けられそうなコンクリートや車、人間の映り込みを、避けようとしていない。
・露出や色味補正がおかしい。

という感じです。映像が粗いのは、撮影年代が古く、機材が揃っていないせいでしょう。

中には素敵なカットもあるので、ほかの作品も揃えていて、V-musicシリーズのコンセプトを理解している方なら、楽しめると思いますよ。そうではなく、BGVとしてレベルの高い作品を求めている方となると、あくまでも「音楽も主役」であるということをよく考慮した上で、購入を検討されたほうがよいでしょう。
