クラシック音楽を題材にした作品ですが、サントラはそれだけに縛られずバリエーションに富んでいて面白い仕上がりになっています。勿論クラシックを踏襲していますが、堅苦しくならずにサラッと聴けていい感じです。
主題歌・エンド曲のピアノアレンジバージョンがすごく良いです。
アニメの放送が深夜なので、この楽曲群があまり多くの人の耳に入らないのが残念です。

「ビフォー・アフター」や「今、会いにゆきます(劇場）」で、ピアノやシンセを中心とした心地よい楽曲やリズミカルな楽曲を提供している松谷卓さん。オリジナルの旋律を奏でるのもうまいが、クラシックをこれほどうまくアレンジして、自らの楽曲のように奏でている点は秀逸。おかげで、深夜のアニメ以外のＴＶ番組でも聞こえてくるくらい、映像への汎用性の高いものに仕上がっていたりします。

｢のだめラプソディ｣をはじめとするピアノ曲が綺麗です。
他の曲もクラシックで使われる楽器を使っているものが多く
BGMとして聴きやすい心地よい曲がたくさん入っています。
｢のだめ｣関連CDはクラシックのものが多いですが
このサントラは肩の力を抜いて聴けるのもポイントです。
アニメ自体の評判はあまり芳しくないようですが、
BGMには力が入っているのでおすすめします。
