まったくのノン・プロモーションにも関わらず、ライブ活動のみで異例のセールスを記録した「Before Daylight EP」から1年余。青森の4人組がプロデューサーに様々な名盤を手がけてきたエド・ローズ(THE GET UP KIDS、MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK etc.)を迎え、待望のフルアルバムをついに完成させた!


アーティストについて

2004年、青森県弘前市で高校時代を過ごした後、別々の道を歩み始めていた4人が、まるで導かれるかのように上京先の東京で再会を果たし、結成されたLOCAL SOUND STYLE。HI-STANDARD/BRAHMAN等に代表される90年代J-PUNKと、OASIS/BLUR等に代表されるブリット・ポップ、THE GET UP KIDS/JIMMY EAT WORLD等に代表されるEMOを同一線上で消化し、独特の蒼いフック、疾走感に満ちた楽曲を次々と生み出していった彼等は、2005年9月に発売したライブ会場/STM online限定のセルフタイトルEPが大きな反響を呼んだことで(STM online JPチャートNo.1を獲得)、一躍インディー・シーンの要注目バンドへ。2006年に入ると、同EPのアメリカ盤が、外資系CDショップで“逆輸入盤”としてスマッシュ・ヒットを記録(各地で3桁超えのセールスを記録する店舗が続出)、日本最大のインディー系専門サイト「indiesmusic.com」においては、名だたるバンドを抑えて1位を獲得する等(2006年度年間チャートでも1位獲得!)、その注目度は一段とアップしていった。そして2007年4月、日本人離れしたセンスと平均年齢23歳とは思えない演奏力を武器に、国内の猛者たちだけでなく、DAPHNE LOVES DERBY、DREAM STATE、HOLIDAY WITH MAGGIE、WAKING ASHLNAD等、世界のトップ・バンドをも魅了してきた彼等が、あのエド・ローズ(THE GET UP KIDS、MOTION CITY SOUND TRACK etc)をプロデューサーに迎え、待望の1stアルバムをリリースする。結成から目指し続けてきた、世界との壁を打ち破る為に。

世界をどうゆうふうに捕えたら、こんな澄んだ音になるのでしょうか。ロックなのに、優しく包み込むような音に、声に泣きたくなりました。 なにか 嫌なことも沢山あるけど、こんな音の世界に生けていけたらいいなぁとおもいました。

視聴もしないで買いましたが本当にいいものに出会えたと思います。ガンガン突っ走るロックとか聴いていましたが、こんなに綺麗なロックがあるのかと驚き聞き入りました。美メロ満載、とにかく一度聴いてみてください。私はお気に入りの一枚になりました。

海外でも評価の高い、青森県弘前市出身の彼らの1STフルアルバム。エモ/メロディックパンクを基調としながらも、聴いて出てくる感想はとにかく「美しい」の一言。ジャンルにとらわれず、幅広くオーディエンスにアピール出来る楽曲が全10曲収録された好盤。ロックファンなら必ず聴くべき。
