　切れのイイサウンドは健在。センチな恋心をストレートに描いたナンバーです。

4月4日発売。
春にぴったりの、あたたかいサウンド。
歌詞のはじまりは「春風の中、君は花のようだ」。
まずこの歌詞にうっとりさせられて、どんどんベボベワールドに引き込まれていきます。

「ELECTRIC SUMMER」のように1回聴いて「おおっ!」というものはあまりありませんでしたが、
何度も聴くうちにだんだんその魅力が分かってきます。
その魅力を感じるためにも、CDを聴いてみることをお勧めします。

ここ最近ポップ・キャッチー・インパクトを求めていたので、久々に染み込むような快感が気に入った曲。奥田民生の曲のようにアガりきらないメロディーからカタルシスが生まれる。ハマれば飽きにくい感じ、何度も聴きたくなる。

若手ロックバンドが様々台頭してきてるなか、強烈な個性があるわけではないBase Ball Bearだがそれでも浮いた存在。それは小出がちょっと変人っぽいせいもあるが(失礼)、やはり単純にいいバンドだからだ。気持ちいいギターサウンドなのにクセのあるリズムとナルシズム溢れるボーカル、さらに関根のアンニュイなコーラスが爽やかなバンド。独自のロックを掲げメッセージを投げ掛けたり自分達なりのリアルを表現するバンドが多いなか、繊細にロマンチックにラブソングを歌うのも意外と珍しい。そして「抱きしめたい」はより生々しくなった。妙に歌詞が写実的だ。複雑に感情が混ざった恋愛模様からやっぱり君が好きだから抱きしめたい、なんてストーリー性ではなく、不意に訪れるどうしようもなく抱きしめたくなる瞬間を切り取っている。こんなに刹那的なのにじんわり響いてくるのがまたいい。
アルバムの後なのでターニングポイントを迎えているのかもしれない。それくらい変化したような、何か貫禄が増したような気がする。要はシンプルになったのにBase Ball Bearらしい魅力が増したってことだ。名曲です。
ちなみに小出の歌ってる表情も好き。PVも観てほしい。
