ほのぼのとしてとても良かったです。今の世の中で忘れかけた人の良さが出ていて記憶に残る作品です。
全編を通してトム・ハンクスの優しさとメグ・ライアンの可愛さが際立っていると思います。多くの人が｢こんな素敵な恋がしたい｣と憧れるようなラブロマンスです。
優しさと誠実さが伝わる男性ハンクス、可愛らしさと優しさがにじみ出ている女性メグ。二人の演じるラブロマンスは、見終わったあとに優しくなれるに違いありません。
心が幸せになり、とても心地よい気分にさせてくれる映画です。ずっと観ていたい様な、終わりにしたくないような、そんな気持ちになります。

メグ映画の中では「フレンチ・キス」に続いて好きな映画です。相手はトム・ハンクスですので、それも犬を連れていますので、｢絶対こうなるナ」と思うとおりに展開します。ご安心を。なのに途中はメグと一緒に悩んだり、怒ったり、心配したりします。彼女の優しい表情は実に日本人向きではないでしょうか(私向き？）。物語りも日常的で社会的でホノボノとした心温まる良いお話です。

もし、現実にこんな恋愛があったら、世の夫婦、恋人は大変だが、そんなことは気にするなとばかりに話が進む。メグとトムのキャラが冴え、音楽もぴったりでさわやかな仕上がり。ハッピーエンドになるはずだが、と思って見ていてもなかなかそうならず、良い意味で予想を裏切り続ける。二人の演技は見ていて気分が良い、と改めて思わせられる。
