72年の発表という事で考えるとこの作品の内容は、ブリティッシュ・ロックのパクりとか物真似と斬って棄てるのは簡単だが、それは後世の人間の意見だろう。当時これだけ器用にその要素を取り入れ何の迷いもなく再構築してる点が凄い。成毛シゲル(g、key)、角田ヒロ(ds、Vo)、高中正義(B、Vo)という知る人ぞ知る強者トリオだからこそ体現できた優れた楽曲群は一聴に値します。
ミッキー・カーティスの侍なんかもそうですが、この当時の和製ロックは侮れませんね

変なオリジナルよりよっぽど楽しい思いをさせてくれた不朽・不滅の名作。かなりの方でないと真似されているオリジナルを全て言えないでしょう。曲の真似、イメージの真似・・・・それまで怒涛のごとく流れ込んできた若者向け輸入音楽へのオマージュとも呼べる作品です。主役の成毛滋さんは勝ち抜きエレキ合戦から見てました。勝ち抜きエレキ合戦ではゲストの採点者（確か中田ダイマル・ラケット）が成毛滋のテクニックが分からずめちゃくちゃ低い点数を出して、他のプロの採点者を見てあわてて修正するというハプニングも見てました。日本人でただ一人のウッドストック体験者（ほんまはもっといたんとちゃうと思いますが・・）という肩書きのお方でした。ただこの伝説のギタリストも先日なくなりました。合掌。
追記になりますが、キーボードも成毛滋本人です。びっくりデスね。

日本のプログレ/ロツクバンド、フライド・エッグのアルバム。1972作
成毛しげる、角田ヒロ(つのだ☆ひろ)、高中正義からなるトリオバンドで、
ストロベリー・パスを継承するブリティッシュロック色を打ち出したアルバム。
DEEP PURPLE、URIAH HEEPあたりに通じる洋楽指向を取り入れたサウンドで
鳴り響くハモンドオルガンに、手数の多いドラム、そして英詞の歌詞が本格的。
美しいピアノにメロトロンも入ったパラード曲などは、時代を考えると相当のクオリティで
日本のバンド云々というものを超えた普遍的なロックとしての魅力が備わっている。
ジャケ裏に抽象的描かれたレレレのおじさんにも注目。再発盤はなんと格安の\1300だ。
