なかなかカッコいい。
ダンスっぽさを損なわないで、音的に変に高尚に、空っぽになるでもなく、ロックの人も打ち込みの人も聴けるし、実にいいバランスの音をしている。
自分としては、パンク〜ＮＷのふざけたエッセンスを、音の面でスタイルに取り入れてるのが評価高し。純粋にこういうジャカジャカ感は楽しくなってしまう。ＸＴＣとか好きな人は、絶対にいける。

NME AWARDS 2007で最優秀新人バンドに選ばれたクラクソンズの１ｓｔなのだ♪
それでは、ＵＫの申し子ぽんちゃん様のありがたい各曲一口コメントなのだ。

＃１ まるで「マンサン」の様なスペイシーな美メロに脱帽。同時に分厚いベースのグルーブの衝撃！
＃２ サイレン音、サンプリングとニューレイヴ的なスタートをするが、あっという間にリズムチェンジ！
　　 ピート（元リバ）なみの地に足つかない最高のパンクの片鱗をみせ。。と、思ったら神秘的なメロディーが現われたりもう大変！
　　 これぞクラクソンズの魅力が集約されたナンバーだが複雑すぎて試聴には向いてないのだ。
＃３ リード・シングル。独特のコーラスと美メロ。おすすめなのだ♪
＃４ 本作中もっともパンクが表に出たナンバー。それでも彼らだけのコーラスワークは他とはちがうぜー！なのだ。
＃５ 以前どこかで到達した至福感。う〜む、そうだ！これはボウイ様の不朽の名曲「アシェズ・トゥ・アシェズ」の浮遊感なのだ！←アテにならんぞぉ♪
＃６ これまたボウイ様のベルリン時代と96年の「アウト・サイド」がミックスされたような、機械的冷たさと構築理論が交差する異色の曲なのだ。
＃７ 間奏のピアノがすんごくいい♪評論家たちは戸惑ったらしいのだが、ぽんちゃん様から言わせたらこの曲は
　　 80年代の映画「ストリート・オブ・ファイヤー」から影響を受けているのだ！
そこでメインの2曲を披露したfire incっていう覆面バンドの作曲理論が持ち込まれているぞぉ〜〜♪←特にコーラス。
＃８ サイケな感触もする、イントロのハープの音色に大物ぶりを感じるのだ。
＃９ ぽんちゃんでは、うまく言えないので省略なのだ。試聴してみたらわかるのだ。
＃10 本作中もっともスウィートなメロディー。Graceのカバーなのだ。でもクラクソンズ流に味付けされていてアルバムの流れの中でもしっかりと役割を果たしているのだ。
＃11 ごった煮ジャンク。ハァハァ。息切れなのだ。

11曲35分の中に、究極のポップとパンク、異色のダンス＆グルーブ、複雑な曲展開がい〜っぱい詰め込まれているのだ。
まぁ、そういうこと。ケミカル・ブラザーズの新作にも起用されて今後も楽しみなバンドなのだ♪←　一発屋ではないはず♪

と考えたときに、
一つに音楽産業のありかたと捉えることが出来る。
最近は音楽を一曲単位でネットからダウンロードなどしてＭＰ３などで聞くという文化が勢力を伸ばしているのは自明な事である。
言い換えれば、アルバム単位でミュージシャンを評価する動きがなくなってきているのである。
コレがいい事か悪い事かの判断は各人にまかせるとして。


このklaxonsのアルバムは一曲一曲の印象がバラバラだ。
つながりは全く無いと言って良い。
強いて言えばつながりが無いことでつながっている。
そして、
近未来、
一曲単位でミュージシャンが評価される時代においてこの特性は強力な武器になる。
それが「神話」の指すところなのではないであろうか。

今一番おもしろいバンドのうちの一つ。
