「電王」第一話視聴時には驚愕の一曲でした。「ライダーの曲じゃないよ…」
しかし、それは早とちりというものでした。
だって誰も「電王」見たことなかったんだから。

基本的にハード路線をとってきた平成ライダーにおいては、
「熱い」「堅い」曲が合っていましたし、
異色作「響鬼」のOP「輝」ED「少年よ」も番組の持つ
「和のイメージ」「少年の成長物語」というテーマに合ったものでした。
すっかり「仮面ライダー」が「ハードなドラマ」とイメージが固まっていたために
「Climax Jump」は「異色」どころか「ハズレ」と思ってしまったわけです。
しかし、「電王」という作品は今までのライダーとは違う。
少なくとも現時点においては底抜けに明るい作品であり、従来の曲調は合わない。
「Climax Jump」以外あり得ない。

それに、よく聴くとこの曲歌詞も結構素敵です。
「昨日までの記憶すべて必要と分かる日が来るはず」「変わることを恐れないで　明日の自分見失うだけ」とか前向きな応援歌を、アップテンポな曲に載せて届けてくれる。
なんだか良太郎達の乗ったデンライナーみたいです。

第１話の時に聴いた時はここまではまると思わなかった・・・。
むしろ「軽すぎだよ、これ・・・」と思った。

でも、作風とのはまり具合に加え、そのノリの良さ。モモタロスとウラタロスのダンスの軽妙さも手伝って（？）、今ではケータイでリピートしてずっと聴くぐらい大好きです。

しかしこの曲の真髄は歌詞にあると思います。
毎回、ライダーの主題歌の作詞を担当する藤林女史ですが、いつもながら感じるのが作品のコンセプト・世界観を見事に歌詞に集約しているところ。
特にこの「Climax Jump」の２番の歌詞。イマジンにとり憑かれてしまう人間の「胸のうち」を、電王が力強く、そして優しくサポートしてくれている・・・。

一度で良いから、AAAが実際歌っているところが見たいですね。

新シリーズ「仮面ライダー電王」オープニング・テーマ。
一番驚いたのは、やはり「いーじゃん！いーじゃん！スゲーじゃん？！」のコーラス！
ハッキリしてて突き抜けてて良し！
曲も、ハイテンポ、ハイテンションで軽快、列車の走るビートが生む疾走感も良し！
歌詞にも本作のキーワード「時間」と「列車」にちなんだ言葉もあり、これらの雰囲気が作品イメージに良く合っています。
ちなみに収録は下記の5曲で、すべて"Climax Jump"ですが、2,3,4は良くあるなんとかRemixのような小手先のリミックスではなく、
ちゃんとドラマのBGMとして使える演奏の曲で、聴きごたえがあっていいです。
買って良かった！
1. Climax Jump …オリジナル・ヴァージョン。これのみヴォーカル入りです。
2. 同（power rock edit）…ヴォーカルのパートをエレキ・ギターで演奏。これも燃える！
3. 同（sweet ballad edit）…ピアノによるスローバラード。
4. 同（soul blues edit）…ソウルフルにブルース調で。
5. 同（instrumental）…カラオケ。
ちなみにテレビで聴いていた時には、歌詞の最後の「Climax Jump」が「ライダーアクション！」かと思ってました。
