MORRISON HOTEL, released in 1970 in the wake of Morrison's infamous indecency bust, hit #4 and introduced "Waiting For The Sun," "Roadhouse Blues," and "Ship Of Fools." Insightful liner notes from David Fricke. Ten bonus tracks include eight previously unissued takes of "Roadhouse Blues, a run-through of Chuck Berry's "Carol," a jazz version of "Queen Of The Highway," and the previously unreleased "Money Beats Soul."

この2007年リマスター盤はライノ絡みで、しかもリミックスもかけられていますので、オリジナル偏重の方はガックリくるかもです。ボーナストラックもたいした中身じゃにんですが。

しかし、しかし、このリミックスが凄い。レイのキーボード、やロビィのギター音を若干押さえが故に、ジムのヴォーカルとジョンのドラムが生き生きしてます。
個人的にはドアーズオリジナル盤ももってた口なんですが、なんだかこちらの方が、俄然いいです。内容は、ジムが初期の青臭さがとれ、視点がクールになり、なにやらＶＯの凄みが加わり、
この年になると、初期よりもこちらの方が、内容も濃いと感じさせまる一品です。
全体的にブルースの影響が濃くなり、初期サイケらしさはかなり、抜けてます。

只、恐らくこのリミックス＆リマスター現行されるとは思えないので（すなわち、すぐ絶版）
早めに入手しといた方がいいかも。

一曲目の始まりが好き。ドゥトゥットゥットゥッ♪ダラッ×無限。最高！
Peace Frogのギターカッコいい。川の水が大きく緩やかに時に小さく、そして鮮やかに流れるかの如く、ギターの洪水音、最高！
