洋画のサウンドトラックを購入する時に期待することが2つある。1つはジャケットや解説書が日本仕様になっていこと。もう1つは映画BGM集になるだけに留まらずに劇中に流れた曲が収録されるなど、聴き応えがあるアルバムに仕上がっているかだ。後半の期待に応えてくれたCDには「ゴーストワールド」、「パーフェクトワールド」、アニメの「アイアン・ジャイアント」などがあった。そうしたCDを手に入れると幸せな気分になる。「タイタニック」や「プライベートライアン」のように印象的な旋律があっても、単なるBGMを集めたCDは飽きがきてしまう。「幸せのちから」にはとても期待していた。劇中では多くのヴォーカルが効果的に流れたから。しかし権利の問題か？作曲者のアンドレア・グエラ氏の作品だけにまとめたかったのか、ヴォーカルは1曲も入っておらず、終始穏やかなBGMだった。非常に残念。「ホテルルワンダ」を手がけたグエラ氏の曲は耳に聴き心地が良く好きなのだが、同じ曲の繰り返しでは飽きてしまいそう。前半の期待だがジャケットは日本仕様になっておりとても良い。洋画モノではペラ紙１枚にいい加減な解説を書いて、日本仕様で発売する品もある。このCDは前島氏の読み応えがある解説が、ちゃんとプリントされている。これを見てようやく「幸せ」な気分になった。CDはイマイチ、ジャケットは最高といったサウンドトラックだった。
