電王で初めて東映ビデオ作品をお求めになる方は、
「HERO CLUB」の存在を覚えておかれた方がよろしいかと思います。
「HERO CLUB」をご存知ない方、まず、上のジャケット写真の下、
「イメージを拡大」をクリックしてみてください。
ジャケットの左上にHERO CLUBという文字が見て取れると思います。

これは東映ビデオの廉価版のレーベルで、
ドラマ本編を再編集、ダイジェストにしたものです。
電王に限らず、東映ビデオのさまざまな特撮やアニメで企画、販売されています。
テレビで流れたものをそのまま収録したものではありませんので、
お求めの際はご注意ください。
通常、ドラマの前半から中盤にかけてのエピソードのうち、
2〜3話をまとめて1本のソフトにしています。

とりあえずお値打ち品でいいので子供に一本買ってあげたい、
という親御さんにはよろしいかと思います。
什器に余裕のないレンタル屋さんでも見かけます、ご参考までに。
Amazonさんの場合、このコーナーの少し上の「商品の説明」という欄に
たいていの場合ダイジェスト版と書いてあるので目安になるでしょう。

勘違いしてはいけないのはこれはテレビ枠で放送されたものが普通にDVDになったというものではないということです。簡単に言えばキャラクター紹介DVD。
私は勘違いして買ってしまって、届いて確認してショックをうけました。テレビの1話2話、つまりモモタロスが仲間になるまでをまとめ編集したものだということ。
普通にテレビ枠がそのままDVD化されたものは別に出るので買うときは注意しましょう！
このシリーズは1巻がモモタロスが仲間になるまでのいきさつ、2巻がウラタロスが仲間になるいきさつ、3巻がキンタロス、4巻がリュウタロスだと思われます。たぶん4巻で終わりではないでしょうか。
ストーリー編DVDは8月に出るそうです。

文句なしに良作。前作カブトに較べればストーリーもしっかりしているし、役者も良い。特に、ハナ役の白鳥百合子と各種イマジン役のスーツアクターが秀逸。
今回は、『時間』を行き来する話で、登場人物の過去のトラウマを扱い、非常にヒューマンドラマ臭くなっている。それでいて、話の展開もわかりやすく、更にこちらを中毒一歩手前に誘うような伏線も心にくい。そのわかりやすさとドラマ性から、親子共に楽しむ事ができ、家族間のコミュニケーションツールとしても使えそうで、そこもまたポイント高し。星五つでは足りないような名作。
