ロサンゼルスの乾いた空気が感じられてきそうな、Rockを心底楽しんでやってる、余裕が感じられるそんな１枚です。現在改めて聴いてみても、時の隔たりを感じさせないのが不思議。
マーシーのVocalもノリにのって、私的にはアースシェイカー最高峰のアルバム。

前作"Midnight Flight"でシェイカースタイルの頂点を極めた後に出されたこの4thｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ"Passion"。口ずさめる歌と独特の世界観を持つﾏｰｼｰの歌詞の世界は健在で、それを支えるｼｬﾗの歌うｷﾞﾀｰとｶｲとｸﾄﾞｰの落ち着きのあるﾘｽﾞﾑ隊に囲まれたｿﾂのないｱﾙﾊﾞﾑです。
ｱｰｽｼｪｲｶｰの音の世界の不思議さは、ﾒﾛﾃﾞｨや歌詞を明るくしてもどこかもの悲しい雰囲気に包まれているところです。これがまた日本人のﾏｲﾅｰﾒﾛﾃﾞｨ好きの心をくすぐりついつい病み付きになってしまいます。
全体的にｿﾂはないですがこじんまりとまとまっているｲﾒｰｼﾞのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑですが、1曲1曲はよくできています。
中でも"Whisky&Woman""Hungry Doll""流れた赤い血はなぜ""ありがとう君に"などはｼｪｲｶｰにしかつくれない佳作だと思います。

…はRATTの2ndインヴェイジョン・オブ・ユア・プライバシーでエンジニアの仕事した人を起用したんです。 特にギターの音は似てます。
