70年代後半、アホらしいことを大マジでやらないとダメだ、と集まった赤塚不二夫、赤瀬川原平、奥成達、高信太郎、長谷邦夫による満足問題研究会による今や伝説の名盤となった『ライブ・イン・ハトヤ』が奇跡の初CD化です。
プロデューサーは高平哲郎、作曲は小林亜星。メンバー全員が作詞して、赤塚不二夫自らが歌いました。
伊東ハトヤのステージでライブ・コンサートをやったらどうなるかという設定で作った、前世紀最大のギャグ・パッケージ・アルバム。

ちょっと期待しすぎで聴いたので、一回目は「なぁ〜んだ、ソレ程でもないや」という感じでした。
しかし繰り返し聴くと、何とも言えず可笑しくて、昔の深夜ラジオの持つ「音で想像させてくれる楽しさ」
みたいな魅力を味わえます。
もともとタモリさんの芸風が好きなんですが、赤塚さんの可愛らしいキャラクターも見逃せません。

今風の笑いとは違い、大爆笑を期待するとかなり肩すかしをくらいますが、
ドサッとしながらインテリジェンスが漂う、「おやじギャグ」とは一線を画す笑いが味わえます。
「声」の持つ魅力も感じました。

噂には聞いていましたが、今回初めて拝聴する事が出来ました。いやぁ、凄いですね!最高の名盤(迷盤!)です!!口上でのタモリさんもメチャクチャ、暴言のオン・パレードです!構成についてはショックでした。“こういうアルバムもあるんだなぁ…”と衝撃を受けました。ギャグ盤な筈なのにバカに出来ないのが歌です。全曲素敵です。ハトヤのテーマから始まり、優柔不断音頭までどれも素敵です!伊東鳩子さん(笑)も聴かせてくれます。名曲でした!とにかく買って損なしです。“ちょくそ”する気になりません(笑)!!

　赤塚不二夫を中心とした「満足問題研究会」なるグループが作成した架空のコンサートのライヴ盤です。なんでもハリー・ベラフォンテのライヴ盤などをイメージし、またラジオの舞台中継のように再現してみよう、という企画だったとか。「ハトヤ」は有名な静岡県伊東市のホテルで、♪伊東に行くならハ・ト・ヤ♪というCMソングは誰もが知っている有名な歌でしたが、ただこの企画は「ハトヤ」と全く無関係で、メンバーは全員ハトヤに宿泊したこともなく、このレコードの発売後も無関係だったそうです。
　オープニングは出演者が入って来て、舞台の司会者が出演者を紹介したり、ラジオの解説のような声が入り、また挨拶の間はその音声と同時に舞台裏でのタモリの悪態を同時収録している、といった臨場感あふれる構成です。歌はどれも下手で聴いていられません（素人が歌っているのでしょうがないですが）。「伝統芸能」っぽいデタラメな演奏「神おろし」や、赤瀬川原平の「優柔不断」についての講演が多少面白かったですが、正直言って何回聴いても最後までほとんど一回も笑えませんでした。「幻」であったのにはそれなりの理由があった、ということのようです。
