5.0 out of 5 stars オキナワン・フール・オーケストラ（沖縄の豚小屋楽団）＝BEGIN, 2007/3/17
『ざわざわ』『がやがや』・豚の鳴き声が混じる中開演のブザーと共にアルバムは幕を開けます。
CSN&Y（クロスビー・スティルス・ナッシュ＆ヤング）ばりのコーラスが最高です。
懐かしさを感じるフォークロックと島唄のコラボそのものです。
また長年温めてきた歌詞に初めて曲をつけ組曲化した
「Midnight Baseball Bluse 〜屋富祖エレジー（やっと、もあいが取れたのに･･･）〜」。
ポ・デイドリームのリズムから始まりポルカ・ハワイアンそしてエレジーへと。
音楽で遊ぶ・楽しむ、BRGINらしさが垣間見れます。
BEGINが主催する「うたの日コンサート」の主旨に感銘を受けたミュージシャン山本隆太氏のカバー
「うたのうた」は「WE　ARE　THE　WORLD」を彷彿させるスケールの大きさを感じさせてくれます。

BEGINの2年ぶりのアルバムということで、とても期待をして聴きました。「三線の花」は本当に名曲だと思いますが、その他の曲は殆どが60点位かなあと感じました。BEGINは島歌でブレイクしたこともあり、なかなかオリジナルアルバムが売れません。ライブでもそれが顕著で、オリジナルはイマイチ盛り上がらなくても、島歌になると、会場の雰囲気がガラリと変わります。BEGINを10年以上聴いてきて思うのは、島歌はメインではなく、あくまでも「付録」だということ。ここ数年は島歌の存在が足かせになり、90年代後半のような名盤がなかなか生まれにくくなってる気がします。次のアルバムは島歌にとらわれず、90年代後半のような名盤を期待したいと思います。
