eufoniusデビュー前の音源を集めたアーリーベストアルバム。
後にTVアニメ「ひまわりっ!」のEDテーマにもなった「ぐるぐる」のオリジナル音源や、人気曲「光の果実」、そしてeufonius結成のきっかけになったとも言われている「マルメロ」等、ボーナストラック2曲を含む全12曲。

2004年TVアニメ「双恋」のOP&ED主題歌でメジャーデビューを果たしたコンポーザー菊地創とボーカルriyaによるユニット。

アニメのタイアップ曲しか知らない人は裏切られますよ。いい意味で◇

以前は同人音楽を扱うショップ（メロンブックスとか）のみで扱かわれていたものがamazonでも取り扱うようになったわけですね。
時期的には双恋だとかより以前のものです。まさに出発点といえるかも知れません。

そんなわけで現在とは毛色が少し（かなり？）違う楽曲集です。
riyaさんの線の細い（能登麻美子に近い）声を最大限に生かすために作られたと思われる曲は、どれも切なく儚く美しいです。
だがそれに終わらず、いたるところにかわいい（音楽的な）仕掛けを施してあるところに、独りよがりや自己満足でないアーティストとしての力量が垣間見れます。
完成された、悲しい童話を読んでる気分にさせてくれます。

これからeufoniusを聞こうとする人がまずこれを手にするのは、選択肢として大いにアリだと思います。

　メジャーデビュー前のeufoniusのアルバムです。

　『とらのあな』などの同人ショップでしか購入できなかったため、入手が難しかったのですが、購入できるようになったのはありがたい話です。

　riyaさんの声を活かすという点では試行錯誤の最中という感がありますね。
　楽曲と歌声が調和していないというか、楽曲の主張が強すぎてriyaさんの繊細な歌声と対立しているというか。特にトラック6「光の果実」ではそれが顕著に感じられます。
　でも、デビュー当初の荒々しさみたいなものが感じられるので、これはこれで良いものですね。実際、iTunesでの私の再生履歴見るとそういう曲に集中しているし。

　メジャーデビュー後のeufoniusの曲しか知らない方におすすめします。最近のよくまとまった曲とは違う何かがありますよ。
