非常に聞きやすいアルバムですね。
英国ポップの良いとこどりって感じでしょうか。
それでいてオリジナルって感じが気持ち良いです。
最近はTV等でも彼らの曲は結構使われてますし、
「あ！この曲どっかで聞いたことある！」
って曲が幾つかあると思います。
（自分がそうでした。）

ただ、肥大化されてる評判ほどのサプライズは無い気がします。

05年のデビュー・アルバム『エンプロイメント』が英国で200万枚のセールスを記録し、一躍幅広い層からの注目を集めた5人組による2nd。南アフリカのサッカー・チームにちなんだバンド名からして、いかにも英国的なセンスを感じさせるが、サウンドのほうもブラーなどに代表されるブリット・ポップの流れを受け継ぐものだ。基本的なスタイルを定めた手堅さがあるだけに、そこからはみ出すスリルがどれくらいあるかというのが気になるところだが、アッパーな曲調が続くなかで穏やかな5や11でインパクトを生む曲順への配慮に込めた意欲に期待したい。
