アースシェイカー待望のニューアルバムは、80年代のサウンドイメージを踏襲した3年ぶりのアルバム!

【アーティストについて】
1983年のデビュー以来、14枚のオリジナルアルバムと5枚のミニアルバム、8枚のシングルと10本のビデオをリリースしている、ジャパニーズヘヴィ・メタルの重鎮バンド。
1994年に解散するも、2001年にはアルバム「Birthday」と共に、シーンに復帰。
その後も精力的なライヴ活動を中心に展開中。
各メンバーのソロワークも活発で、とりわけボーカルの西田は、解散以前より、「アンルイス」「川島だりあ」「T-BOLAN」への楽曲提供や、最近では「後藤真希」や「GAM(松浦亜弥と藤本美貴のユニット)」のアレンジも手掛けている。

AIMを聴いて、ミッドナイト・フライトあたりのキャッチーなアースシェイカーを思い出しました。どれもいい曲だと思います。往年のアースシェイカーファンもそこそこ満足するでしょう。でも、このアルバムの中に再びアースシェイカーの代表曲となるべく曲があるとも思えません。このままアースシェイカーで有り続けるか、過去のアースシェイカーを超えるための何か（メンバーチェンジ等）があるのか、どうするんだろうと、共に大人になった愛すべきバンドの行方が気になります。もちろんいつまでも応援し続けますけど。

Faithよりの三年ぶりのNEWアルバムで、聴きごたえ充分な作品だと思う。ハードとスローを織り交ぜ、ツボにはまりました。22年、聴き続けて、良かったと思います。全曲良い楽曲ですが、『情熱の華』『吐息』『陽炎』『TO・BI・RA』デビュー前の楽曲の『STARS HIGHWAY』は、オススメです。

ラウドネスやアンセムの再結成後の作品は毎回購入してましたが、20年ぶりにアースシェイカーの新譜を購入してみました。
聞き取りやすい唄と耳に残るメロディーは相変わらずでかっこいい限りです。
でも工藤さんのドラム、ちょっと軽くなったかな？
