私が最も気に掛かっていたのは、歌詞であった。
鮮やかな情景描写と共に、恋愛に対する男の幼さを描いた歌詞を
英詩では、どう表現しているのか楽しみでもあった。

蓋を開けてみれば、良い意味で裏切られた感である。
オリジナルの持つ力は影を潜めているが、
簡潔で味のある英詞もなかなか。
曲のアレンジを通しても、
全体的にバランスが取れていると思う。
歌い手も実力派が揃っており、決して安易なカバーではない。
是非とも、槇原ファンに聞いて欲しい一枚である。

3.0 out of 5 stars やっぱりマッキーの歌声は偉大だ, 2007/2/22
英詩のせいもあるかもしれないが、胸に響くものが少ない。
この切ない詩達は槇原敬之本人の優しい声でこそ、伝わるものがあると思いました。

「うん」と「花水木」はイメージを壊さない仕上がりで好きかな。
この２曲が好きな人なら買いです。
「DARLING」「君は僕の宝物」あたりもイイです。
他もどうしても受け付けない数曲を除いて、慣れると違和感なく聴けるようになります。

しかしなかなか原曲だと重過ぎるが、これだとさらっとBGMに使えます。
大して好きでない人に聞かせて「これ実はマッキーの歌なんだよ」って興味を持たせるのにGOOD。

DVDは・・環境ビデオとしての使い道しか思いつかない。
爽やかなアレンジが景色に合ってはいるんだけど、まぁ所謂オマケですね。

マッキーが他の歌手の歌をうたったのを聞いても、違和感をあまり感じていなかったけれど、逆はちょっと･･･と思いつつ、試聴しました。
そしたら･･･欲しい〜と思って予約しました。届いて運転しながら聞いていましたが、全然違和感なく、飽きることなく、歌に気をとられる事無く気持ちよく運転できました。
思いいれのある曲をマッキーの歌で聞くと、つい･･･涙が浮かんできたりしますが、英語だと耳を通り過ぎる感じです。
次のＮ．Ｙ.も予約したので、届くのが今から楽しみです。
