斉藤由貴さんが歌う、世界名作劇場「レ・ミゼラブル 少女コゼット」のOPテーマ「風の向こう」、カップリング曲にはEDテーマ「ma maman(私のお母さん)」の2曲とその2曲のオリジナルカラオケの計4曲が収録されています。

「風の向こう」は、「涙ふいて 前を向いて 足許チカラ込めて」の歌詞のように、たとえ苦しくても前を向いて生きていこうと音楽とともに優しく語りかけ、前向きにさせてくれる曲です。この曲を聴いていると作中の少女コゼットがたとえ辛くても立派に生きていく姿が思い浮かび、何回も聴きたくなるほどです。 「ma maman(私のお母さん)」は、作品中少女コゼットが母と離れ離れになったときの母への想いをそのまま歌詞にした曲です。曲中に「お母さん」という言葉が多いように、本当に作中の少女コゼットが自分の想いを母に語りかけるように聴こえて、非常に心地よいです。

2つの曲とも非常にゆったりとしたテンポで、はっきりと音楽と歌詞が調和し、この歌詞以外有り得ないと思えるほどです。そして、聴こえてくる言葉一つ一つに心動かされる心に強く響く優しい曲でもあります。

世界名作劇場･第24作『レ･ミゼラブル 少女コゼット』の
オープニングとエンディングテーマを収録したマキシシングルCDです｡
ミュージカル｢レ･ミゼラブル｣の初代コゼット役､
3児の母でもある斉藤由貴が､静かにゆっくりとささやく優しい歌声に癒されます｡

1.オープニング『風の向こう』★★★★☆
　辛い現実にめげず､前へ向いて進むコゼットの真っ直ぐな気持ちを描いた1曲です｡
　軽快なピアノ演奏が輝かしく､軽やかさと柔らかさに包み込んだような優しい仕上がりになっています｡
　彼女の物語の始まりに相応しい丁寧な楽曲に思わず笑みがこぼれそうになります｡
　
2.エンディング『ma maman(私のお母さん)』★★★★★
　ゆるやかなワルツのリズムに乗せて､母ファンティーヌに対するコゼットの無垢な想いが溢れています｡
　なんともいえない儚さと美しさ溢れる弦楽器中心の旋律が清らかで､
　心の琴線に触れる素晴らしさに溜息がでます｡コゼットの純粋な心を捉えた歌詞も秀抜で､
　｢大好きよお母さん｣と全く飾らない言葉の美しさにはっと気づかされる隠れた名曲です｡
　この曲に秘められたやるせなさも物語が進むにつれてあらためて気付かされるあたり､
　先見の明､両極面性を内包した完成度の高さに感心させられます｡

94年の「moi」以来、久々の斉藤由貴名義の新作が届けられたことを幸せに思います。作詞がきちんと由貴ちゃん本人であることも嬉しい点です。ジャケットの由貴ちゃんは母になり、少しハスキーになった声も母を感じさせますが、聴いているファンも、みんな一緒に歳をとりました。音楽アーティスト斉藤由貴の復帰は本当に嬉しい出来事です。
