１ 林原さんにとっては久しぶりの曲。そして，岡崎さんにとっては思いもかけない形での復活…。
岡崎さんは，作品の世界観を吟味した上で曲を創る方でした。それなのに，今回のOPの原曲はアニメ作品を前提とせず，しかもEDはかつて他のアニメの挿入歌でした（いずれも10年以上前の曲です）。
　岡崎さんのファンにとっては不安が大きかったでしょう。僕もその一人でした。
　しかし，実際のアニメのOAを見ると，岡崎さんも納得するであろうと思える素晴らしいマッチングでした。これは，岡崎さんの曲を数多く歌ってきた林原さんの選曲眼の確かさの表れでもありましょう。
　とても嬉しく思いました。
２OPはホーンセクションを多用していますが，それに合わせて林原さんの持ち味である‘パワフルさ’を前面に出すのではなく，キャラクター達を大らかな愛で包み込む優しさが感じられます。特に，♪悩もう♪というフレーズ−岡崎さんの場合は，彼女自身も悩みつつ聴き手に問いかける感じでしたが，林原さんの場合はもっと積極的に聴き手に決断を迫る感じ−同時に，慈愛に満ちた眼差しを注ぎながら−です。
３ EDは，原曲よりややスローテンポのアレンジになっていますが，OP同様「まなびストレート！」の世界観に見事にマッチしています。
４ OP・EDに共通するテーマは「Happy」でしょう。学美の「まっすぐGO！」という口癖に通じるものがあります。
　このCDを聞き終えた後，またアニメを見終えた後，岡崎さんがにこにこ微笑んでいる姿が見に浮かぶようでした。林原さんも同じ思いだったのではないでしょうか。
５　林原さんのファンはもちろん，岡崎さんのファン，「まなびストレート！」のファンの方にも，自信をもってお薦めできる一枚です。そして願わくば，岡崎さんの原曲も是非聞いていただきたいのです。

残念ながら岡崎律子さんの新曲はもう聴けなくなってしまったわけですが、こうして岡崎さんの曲が新たな形でリリースされることはファンとして嬉しい限りです。

いい曲です。本当に、いい曲です。
自分が落ち込んだり悩んだりしたとき、隣でそっと励ましてくれる。そんな曲です。聞いていて思わず涙がこぼれました。
そして、この曲を作った岡崎律子さんがすでに故人であることを知り、また涙……
とにかく、何度もしつこいですが本当にいい曲です。是非聞いてください。
