BESTに入りきらなかったTOMOVSKYの世界。
最初「裏BEST」と言っていただけに、BESTよりは静かな曲が多いかも。
その分、聞いてる内にふんわりあったかくなってくるようなアルバムです。

『BEST』から漏れた佳曲を集めた、
2007年リリースのトモフスキー2枚目のベストアルバムです。
『BEST』と比べると、落ち着いた感じの曲、
もしくはライブでやりにくい構成が凝った曲、
さらには歌詞のテーマが比較的重い曲が多いのが特徴です。

ベストといいつつもこの作品のバンドライブでの常連曲は、
『巨大なダムのありんこの穴』『ほめてよ』くらいで、
どちらもシングル『我に返るスキマを埋めろ』で聴け、
ライブ予習用には、『BEST』『大航海』『我に〜』で足ります。
このアルバムは、あまりライブ予習用にはならないのです。

しかし、この作品は別名「裏BEST」の通り、
ライブではそんなにやらない「いい曲」集めてみました！
…といった趣のアルバムとなっています。
楽曲のバラエティー、さらにアルバムとしての流れは、
ある意味『BEST』よりも、考えて作ってあるようなので、是非こちらも聴いてみて下さい。
むしろ、YOUTUBEで知ったとか、ライブとかあまり行けないよとか、
どんなもんか聴いてみたいな…という人には、こちらのほうがいいのかも知れません。

……でもやはり、『BEST』とセットで聴いてほしいものです。

なお、豆知識として……アルバムジャケット写真は、北九州門司にある廃工場だそうです。

収録されてる曲は正直、それぞれのアルバムの音作りの方が独特なトモフサウンドを楽しめて好きなんだけど…怖いくらいグングンひきこまれる濃ゆい感じがね。
こちらは比較的軽い仕上がりとなっている。
サラッと聞きたいときにいいです。
今はなかなか手に入らないCDの曲もあるしトモフスキー初心者はまずベストからも良いと思います〜!
あと、裏ジャケのトモフの顔可愛いくて癒される。
