オーストラリアのバンドらしいのですが、知り合いのオーストラリア人１０人に聞いても誰も知っていませんでした。　
そんな事はさておき、こんなにカッコいいバンドがまだ世界にいたなんて本当に驚きです。
タイトで激しいパーカッションとスモーキーでサイケデリックなキーボードをフィーチャーした、ファンキーかつオルタナティヴなロック…いや、ロックというカテゴリーには収まらない程オルタナティヴなサウンド!!
　しかもこの手のバンドには珍しく、Ｖｏ.が舌っ足らずな、ちょっと可愛い目の女性ヴォーカルと言うのが、濃ゆいサウンドにさっぱりとした清涼感を感じます。（でもその声が濃ゆいサウンドと意外と合ってるんです!!）

　サウンドは６０年代のサイケデリック・サウンドとアシッド・ジャズ的サウンドを融合させて、よりファンキー＆ブルージー、かつパーカッシヴにした感じで、例えるなら「ベン・ハーパー feat. クラウドベリー・ジャム plays ジャミロクワイ」と言った感じでしょうか？　
しかもこういったバンドで「よくサウンドはカッコイイんだけどキャッチーじゃないんだよなぁ」と言うのが多いですが、メロディもキャッチー!!
スピード感とオーガニックなグルーヴ感、そしてブ厚いサウンド!!どれをとっても「カッコイイ!!」に尽きます!!
　正直、ファーストを聴いた時はキャッチーさが足りなくて６５点と思ってたのですが、この２ｎｄは１００点です。（両方のアルバムに入っている「WATER」という曲で比べると、この成長振りが伺えます。）
コレ聴かないと損しますよ、ホント。

ヴォーカルはシェリルクロウやラブサイケデリコ系の声で、歌いきらない感じがかっこいいです。
サウンドはまさにワールドミュージックという感じで、レゲエとサンバと民族音楽を曲ごとにいろんなバランスでミックスしてる感じでかっこいいです。
BKBの雰囲気を他のバンドで例えるのは難しく、強いて言うならテンポの速いブエナビスタソシアルクラブでしょうか。（サウンドが似ているということではなくノレる感じが似てるというか）
歌詞もメッセージ性が強く、そのスタイルもかっこいいです。
アーティストサイトとマイスペースで試聴ができて、歌詞を読むこともできるので、気に入った方は買っておいて損はないと思います。捨て曲無しというと安っぽい感じがしますが、どの曲もそれぞれかっこいいです。
ちなみに僕はミニアルバムのWATERの方が勢いで演奏してる感じで好きです。でもどっちも好きです。
ビデオや和訳が付くなら日本版も買おうかなぁ。

CD屋の試聴機に入ってたのでたまたま聴いたのだが、出だしを聴いただけで即レジへｗ。
全然聞いた事ない名前のバンドだったんだけど、リズムの躍動感がプリミディヴで、
音の印象がとにかくポジティヴで踊ってる。アッパー系。こりゃぁ良いグルーヴだ！

そして、ヴォーカルパフォーマンスがとても良い。良い声してるなぁ〜!!

リードヴォーカルのNATALIE PA'APA'A（ナタリー・パーパー）を中心としたコーラスが
どの曲でもすんごい「歌って」いる！生身の人間の声や温度を感じる音楽。

ちっとも知らなかったんだけど、去年来日してたんですね。今年も５月に来るそうで。
今から楽しみ！オーストラリアのバンドとの事だけど、まだ公式デビューして間もない
らしい。今後が楽しみですね！
