また『イギリス映画』か!!
エンディングの『その後』を優しく想える、素晴らしい映画やわ。

俺の映画評価の絶対条件『やりすぎてない』に全面合格!!

ストーリーも役者も音楽も、全てがやり過ぎない・・・。

セリフでは無く、文字では無く、表情で雰囲気で『語らす』演出。
もの凄く感動した。
もの凄く幸せ者気分。

『グッバイ・レーニン』『やさしい嘘』なんかにも似た感じの母親として、父親として、子供として、男として、女として、友達として、ヒトとして、優しい気持ちがいっぱい詰まった素晴らしい映画やわ。

強く強くおすすめる。

Ｂ級だろうと思っていた映画でしたが、みおわって、良すぎてびっくりしました。

なにがいいかというと、

母と少年をとりまく人たちに悪意がない。
町が美しい、音楽が優しい。
手紙という設定がやさしい。

地味な作品ですが、何度も観れます。

スコットランドと言えば、絵葉書のような大自然に囲まれて人々がのどかに暮らしている国。
そんな私のイメージを、何年か前、「トレイン・スポッティング」という映画が木端微塵に打ち砕いてしまいました。
野山の美しさからは想像もつかない精神的荒廃がスコットランドの都市部を侵している現実を、嫌というほど思い知らされたのです。

「Ｄear フランキー」も舞台は同じくスコットランド。港町グラスゴー。映し出される風景はわびしく暗く、人々の表情にも「トレイン・スポッティング」に通じるすさんだものが漂っています。

じゃあ二つの映画は似ているのか。

私はある一点において決定的に違っていると思います。
それは、救いというもののほとんど見えなかった「トレイン・スポッティング」に対し、「Ｄear フランキー」の方には救いがある。
くたびれ果て、すさみきった世の中に、なんとかして一点の光明、救いとなる光を見出そうとする作り手の姿勢がはっきりと見てとれるところです。

ラストの種明かしをすれば、主人公フランキー少年とその家族に、救いの光（幸せのかすかな予感）は見つかります。
見つかるが故にこの映画の後味はすごく良い。
しっとりとした感動がじわじわ押し寄せてくる感じで、もし映画館で観ていたらしばらく席を立てなかったでしょう。

映画にはやっぱり救いがなくっちゃ。そんな喜びをしみじみと噛みしめさせてくれる佳品中の佳品です。
