　本当に長いこと待たされたけれども、やっぱり良いバンドだと感心させられる良作。とはいえ、想像したものとは違って、一曲一曲が随分といろんな方向に振り切れていて輪郭がはっきりしていることに驚かされる（例えば３、４のニューウェイブっぷりとか。８なんかカントリーだし）。この点はダークで混沌としたセカンドを高く評価した人には賛否両論というところだと思う。
　ただ、個人的には、曲の完成度という点で素晴らしい作品だと思う。１〜５の恐ろしいキャッチーさ、６，９のセカンドの曲を洗練させたような展開等々。またメロディの良さにも毎度の事ながら感動してしまった。時々彼らの曲に感じていたような冗漫さも全くなくなって、それぞれの曲が締まっている。私はそれをよいことだと考えるが、どうだろうか。

一聴して感じるのは、楽曲に対するこれまでに無く投げ遣りな距離感。とか言うと何だか否定的に思われるかもしれないが、勿論良い意味で。シーンを破壊してやると言わんばかりにプリミティヴな衝動を吐き散らし驀進したデビュー盤での力み具合や、ハイプとは言わせぬとその高い楽曲構築力を示し濃密な混沌を充満させた2作目におけるような、時に過剰なまでに表出していた自意識が、今作においては非常に上手く消化(昇華)されている。

過剰な気負いを排除された楽曲はどれも、その胸を打ち震わせるメロディと、美しく構築され暴力的に破壊される類稀な組成・展開の昂揚を実にストレートにこちらに提示する。流麗に刻まれ胸を掻き毟るメランコリックなメロディラインが美しくバーストするTr.5"Waiting Game"、Tr.7"What Have You Gone And Done"などはその最たるもの。さらに特筆すべきは、より複雑さを増した楽曲の構成。前作と同様に作品のアタマを張るTr.2"Homo Sapience"を始め、アルバム前半部を聴けばその吹き荒れる嵐の背後で為されている緻密な構成に驚くだろう。

こんなにもやかましく、そして美しく胸を奮わせるナンバーが充ち溢れるアルバムは、たぶん他に探してもなかなか無いはず。オススメです。

ようやく発売された三枚目に正直驚かされたけど、やはりこのバンドは一つのジャンルに区切る事が出来ない…オンリーワンな存在だと改めて思わされる作品になっている。
