久しぶりにGLAYから良い便りが届きました。今までのアルバムよりもメロディが優しいものになったような気がします。コラボ曲もAlbum Versionとなり若干アレンジが加えられています。まさにオススメの一枚です!
そのなかでも気に入ったのは『サラギの灯』です。何かを訴えかけるようなサビが印象的です。
GLAYには、この先も長く音楽を伝えていってほしいですね。

このアルバムからGLAYを知り、興味を持ってくれた方がいたら、これまでのGLAYの作品がおさめられたベストアルバム『DRIVE』を聴いてみてはいかがでしょうか?

GLAY好きの人もそうでない人もこの音楽には感銘を受けるでしょうね。
特に「サラギの灯」「僕達の勝敗」‥さすがTAKUROだなと思いましたね。
自分たちの生き方だとか、僕たちはこんなにも不器用なんだとGLAYが直に気付くかせてくれる、そして力強く励ましてくれる。
そんな美しい曲と優しい詩が心を満たしてくれました。

『THE FRUSTRATED』から3年弱…遂にリリースとなるNEWアルバムは
"Re-birth"を経たGLAYの到達点でありスタート地点とも言える一枚に。

シングルでリリースされた曲が8曲とアルバムの過半数を占めてますが
うち『ROCK'N'ROLL SWINDLE』『ANSWER』『SCREAM』『LAYLA』の
4曲はアルバム・バージョンとしてRe-arrangeされ収録。『SCREAM』の
アレンジはTERUのボーカルを前面に出し、GLAYらしさ溢れる形となって
よりアルバムの流れに沿う一曲に生まれ変っています。他『ANSWER』と
ボーカルを再録した『ROCK'N'ROLL SWINDLE』もシングルとはまた違う
楽しみ方が出来る仕上がりです（『LAYLA』のアレンジはごく僅か）。

シンプルかつ一見短絡的なアルバム名と裏腹、"答えは僕等の負けだ"
と歌う『僕達の勝敗』等、シリアスかつ真剣な思いが込められた内容。
特にラスト・ナンバーである『MIRROR』は、胸のすくような悲喜劇を描く
GLAYの全作品を通しても非常に重要な位置を占めるあろう名曲です。

シリアスな内容ではあるものの『HEAVY GAUGE』の様な閉塞感は
感じられず、全体的に光を感じさせる演奏と詞、コンセプチュアルに
なり過ぎない構成によって非常にバランスの取れた完成度の一枚。
彼ら4人の真摯な人間性と音楽性がこれ以上なく刻み込まれた、
GLAY史上最高傑作と言っても差し支えない名盤です。
