今日ロンドンから帰って即聞きましたが、感無量。当初はクリフの来月の来日のための記念盤が彼の１９６７年の初来日のライヴの復刻なんでジョークがきついと思いましたが。当時の懐かしいＯＤＥＯＮの黒いレコードがそのまま複製されています。そして１９６７年の日本に戻ることができました（といっても僕は１９６７年には日本にはいませんでした）。原盤のレコードversionは聞いたことがないので比較することは僕にはできませんが。録音がすばらしくいい。クリフの声がしっかりと捉えられていてスタジオ録音と違わないくらいです。バックコーラスは誰なんでしょう（誰か教えてください？）おそらく１９７０年のロンドンでのtalk of the town liveよりもいいんじゃないのかな。ちなみに１９７２年の来日記念盤はここまではよくなかったような感じ（あくまでも感じ）がします。僕はここに収録されている曲は全部歌詞を覚えているくらいですが、これはクリフの英語のわかりやすさもあるのかもしれません。観衆ののりとクリフのトークが紋きり調で観客がクリフの煽りに応答できていないのは、今から考えると、１９６０年代の後半という時代と英語という障害を考えるとこんなものなのでしょう。でも逆に丁寧に歌っているという意図しない効果もたらしたようです。曲目で珍しいのはlet's make a memoryとon the beachです。ぜひ１９７２年と７４年のライヴのＣＤ化もお願いします。
