　トレインチャという日本人には奇妙な響きの名前を持つ、この女性はオランダの歌姫だそうだ。欧州の独特の落ち着いた中音域の声。歌い方は実に丁寧、年齢的にも中堅らしい。
最近ジャズのボーカル界ではバート・バカラックの曲が妙に大人気である。
おなじみのバカラックの曲をそつなく歌っており飽きの来ないアルバムといえる。
オランダといえばアルトサックス＆ボーカルーのキャンディ・ダルファーが日本では有名で、このところ頻繁に来日しているが、ライナーノーツによると昔のことだがトレインチャはキャンディバンドのボーカルとして来日したらしい。トレインチャは先日東京ブルーノートでライブを行っており、再びキャンディとの競演を期待したい。

オーケストラを入れてバカラックの曲を歌唱し、演奏するわけですから、予想通り、時代を超越したイージーリスニングになっています。ラジオで大貫妙子が推薦していたように、トレインチャの歌唱が素晴らしいです。レーベルがブルーノートなので、下手なことはしません。
１５は、日本盤ボーナストラックとなっていますが、輸入盤によってはこの１５も収録されています。ブックレットの体裁から言うと、輸入盤でも歌詞がついているようです。日本盤解説は、手短だけど端的に、いろんなことを説明してくれています。
