アスパラとビークルがスィンユウ(親友)BANDなのは今さらの話。

渡邊作の共作曲『FAIRY TALE』は、冒頭からいきなりギターリフがキラキラしてます。
いかにも『渡邊忍らしい』エッジの立ったアコギのカッティングが、
どうしようもなく甘酸っぱくて、心が震えるくらい切ないです。
そんなキラキラのギターが連れてくるメロディは、メランコリックなんだけど
心の柔らかいところをまっすぐ撃ち抜ぬくように、強くてしなやか。

もう1つの共作曲『MONOLOGUE IN MY HEART』はビークル主導。
ビークル的には意外と意外な優しいラブソング、って感じでしょうか。
音数の多さはちょっと気になりますが、これもスプリット故のこと。

両バンドとも、新曲もカヴァー曲も、文句なしにさすがの出来です。
でも、アスパラの『SECOND THAT EMOTION』にはついつい笑ってしまいました。
やるな、しのっぴ!!みたいな。

きれいなアコースティックギターの音から始まり、
渡邊さんとヒダカさんのボーカルの兼ね合いからテンションをあげていくFAIRY TALE、
一見普通のJPOPらしいのに、バンドの個性が出ているMONOLOGUE IN MY HEARTなど、曲の良さ
が目立つと感じました。

アスパラガスがビークルをカバーしているSECOND THAT EMOTIONは最高にかっこいいんですが、
ビークルの新曲が中途半端な印象を受けたので、星四つで。

このＣＤから聴いた人はビークルよりアスパラガスに興味持つんじゃないかな。

これまでアスパラ及びビークルの曲はほとんど聴いたことがなかったのですが、「FAIRY TALE」のPVを初めて見たとき完全に引き込まれました。

イントロのキラキラしたアコギのカッティング、オクターブをブンブンと行き来するベース、コード弾きしているだけなのに強烈な個性を主張するシンセストリングス、そして完全に「泣き」を意識したと思われるコード進行。

とにかく聴くべきです。
一番最後のトラックに入ってる曲も良いです。
