尖っているべきところが遠慮なく尖っている、ホントにバンダイのプラモデルか？と思うくらいに。嬉しい反面服に引っ掛けてヒヤッとしたことが何度も。
スナップフィットだけど一度はめたらはずれない箇所も多々あるので分解を想定している方はあらかじめポッチをやすっておくことを勧めます。
波動砲口は結構光沢があるせいか、広告写真ほどの違和感はなかったです。
真鍮製の砲身はあらかじめなにかコーティングがなされていて、プライマーを塗っている途中でそれがフケのようにぼろぼろ剥がれてきました、要注意ですね。
ゲート位置が細心の注意を払って小さく目立たない位置に設えてるところもあれば、目立つのに豪快に大きいところもありちぐはぐな印象。
と、なんだかんだ言っても完成した姿はカッコいい、大きさの持つ説得力なのか、写真と目の当たりにするのでは全然違う、なかなか味わったことのない満足感です。

一番の問題は価格でしょうね。
プラモデルとは言えない価格ですが､ゼンマイ付きプラモデルを改造して第三艦橋を作った世代ならば欲しいですよね。ギミック､ディテール等賛否両論あるのは当然ですが､この製品を商品化したバンダイさんと､何より商品企画された担当者の熱意と愛情にお礼を言いたいと思います。
本当にありがとう

このプラモデルを設計した方を2008年の成人の日の朝NHKで放送していた「あしたをつかめスペシャル『ボクらの夢はこうなった』」で紹介していました。
ガンダム・プラモデルの部品設計で苦戦していた若者が、実在した戦艦の設計図まで研究して設計したモデルだと言っていました。夢や希望が見えないとも言われる世の中で頑張っている若者を(NHK的なタッチでですが)紹介する中での一こまでした。
今の私はTV番組と映画作品のヤマトにはあまり好意的な評価を私は持っていませんが、この模型の完成度やこだわりには敬服します。
ただ、多くの方が購入し所有されることは、たぶんこの価格設定では、もともと想定していないものと思います。スターウォーズ好きの会社経営者さんで社長室にヨーダの立像を飾っている人を知っていますが、それとは価格の桁が異なりますが、類似の感覚の商品かもしれません。
私は、残念ですがちょっと買えないな、というのが正直な感想です。
