カエラのシングルの中ではかなり穏やかでポップなサウンドだが、ウィンターラヴソングと思わせて実はロスト・ラヴソングのようでもあり、かけがえのない時間を分かち合えたからこそ、前を向ける…というさしげない示唆がなんとも切ない。嫌味のない曲とメロを差し出したヒダカトオルの繊細なプロフェッショナリズムにも敬服。c/wにはアルバム『Scratch』Ver.より、ちょっとデジタル風味な「Ground Control」も収録。いずれも音がゴリゴリじゃなくてもロックたり得ることを証明したシングルだ。(石角友香)

明るくて、優しくて、それでいて切なくて。
聞いてて心の中のいろいろな物を繋ぎあわせてくれるような、そんなうた。

ハードに歌い上げる木村カエラもいいけど、
明るく駆け抜けるような木村カエラもいいけど、
やっぱり優しく寄り添ってくれるようなこのうたが好き。

佳曲だと思います。
歌い手の「良い曲と出会えてうれしい」といった喜びが
伝わってくるようです。

冬の定番ソングになって、来年も再来年も
テレビやラジオで流れきたらいいな、と思います。

木村カエラのシングルがかなりいい。
表題曲の「Sonwdome」は一聴しても普通にポップロックとは一線を画して聞こえるの
が特徴だが、この曲ビートクルセイダーズとのコラボレーションでできている(演奏も）。
彼らが普通やらないことを木村カエラというフィルターを通すことでまた違った化学反応が
起きている。それを面白いものと捉えてある種俯瞰して消化している木村カエラの「さじ加減」
が益々好感してしまう。それはさながらモデル時代のように変幻自在。
元モデルという経歴はまったく忘れてしまうほど、アーティスト木村カエラはやりたいように
やっている。ただのJ-POPという類のものではない。
歌詞もちゃんと読んでみると非常に感慨深い詩でもある。カップリングはイギリスのバンドによる
制作で英詞。これがまた彼女にぴったりのリズム。
彼女自身やスタッフワークに絶妙感すら漂うシングルでアルバムが益々楽しみだ。
