「幕末機関説 いろはにほへと」のサントラです。
劇中に流れる曲はアニメの感じにも合っていていいものばかり、早く曲名が知りたいし、たくさん聞きたいし発売が待ちどうしいです。とくにメインに流れている曲は最初に聞いたときからお気に入りなので最初から最後までしっかり聞いてみたいですね。

　本編を見ている人は、十分楽しめると思う（見ていない人には、そこまでのpushはしない。自分の経験として、本編を見ずにサウンドトラックのみ買って、良かったと思えたことがない）。特に、２４曲目「信念」。第１３話のＢパート、桟橋の縁に沿って蝋燭の火が灯っていくシーンで流れていた曲。これが格好良い！作中で（しかもああいうシーンで）聴いたために刷り込まれているのかもしれないが、一番の気に入りである。疾走感がいい。
　それ以外の曲も、大抵作中で聴いた覚えがあったが、２７曲目だけは聴き覚えがなかった。印象として、「明るい未来」を感じさせる曲である。物語が、この曲が似合うようなラストになってくれたら、と思いながらきいた。

　なお、収録曲のラインナップを見てもおわかりのように、このアルバムにはＯＰもＥＤも収録されていない。完全にＢＧＭのみである。下手にＯＰやＥＤが収録されていると、そこで雰囲気が壊されることが多いように思うので、個人的にはこういう作りの方が好きなのだが（どっぷりと作品世界に浸れる）、本作の場合はＯＰとＥＤが作品世界にかなりはまっているので、残念に思われる。ＯＰやＥＤ（それに手まり歌）は次のアルバムに収録されることを希望する。
