大貫妙子のソロデビューアルバム。
アルバムには坂本龍一、高橋幸宏、、細野晴臣、
といったYMOファミリーに加え大村憲司、加藤和彦、岡田徹、
白井良明、鈴木博文、橿淵哲郎が参加。レコーディングは吉野金次。
1980年代を代表するアーティストが参加している豪華アルバム。
この1枚がその後の大貫妙子の方向性を位置づけたということでも重要。
アルバムの印象は、テクノ全盛期もかかわらず
あえてテクノ色を払拭しアナログの良さで全曲まとめている。
レコーディングがとても良く、吉野金治の少しリバーブを聞かせた
音作りがアルバム全体をライブ的な音でまとめている。
どこかヨーロッパを思わせるようなメロディーと詩は当時の
ロマン主義の代表ともいえる。
大貫の澄んだボーカルと温かみのある演奏からは
現在にはない丁寧なアルバム作りが伝わる。
今聞いても、とてもやさしい印象に包まれる80年代の傑作アルバム。
今このメンバーで録音するのは不可能でしょう。

クラウンからRVCに移って第2作目の80年,『アヴァンチュール』は3作目’81年,『シンフィエ』は4作目の’82年発表作品でしたね。

具体的にフランスのどの時代の誰の影が見えるといったものではありませんが、ヨーロッパ的な景色を,そのサウンドとヴォーカルから感じられる。そして、そこにいる不思議な少女像を想わせる。
