いつか買おうと思っていたのですが旧版はちょっとお高いかな・・と思っていたところ、
新しい価格で出ていたので即買いしました。

いい加減いい年で子持ちで日常ではどっぷり保守派な私ですが、
初めてこの映画を観た時心の奥底に眠っていた何かが激しく揺り動かされるのを感じました（ベタな表現ですが）
見終わった後、切なくて愛おしくて涙出ましたよ。
きっと誰もが「欠けている自分」を自覚しながら生きているのでしょうね。
普段無意識の下に隠してはいるけれど。
正直にそして痛々しいほど純粋にそれを追い求める彼の姿に感動せずにはいられませんでした。
観ているうちに彼、ヘドウィグが愛おしくて可愛くてたまらなくなるんです。
歌も本当に良いですね。
どれも大好きだけど、特に「Wicked little town」と「Midnight Radio」は名曲だと思います。

オカマの映画（使いたくない言葉だけど）と敬遠するのは勿体ない傑作ですよ！

最初は強烈なゲイキャラのハードロック歌手のお話かとおもっていました。

キワモノ見たさに映画を見始めたのですが、これがなかなかの作品でした。

音楽が特に良いと思います。
自分の境遇や社会に対する怒りをロックンロールという形で表現しています。

また、幼児期に父親から受けた性的虐待のシーンも一部あり、なかなか考えさせられました。


同性愛、音楽、そして、東西冷戦の中の歴史を織り込んだ、なかなか社会派の映画だと思います。


ただし、音楽や映像表現が直接的なので、精神的にも肉体的にも健康な方以外はオススメできません。現に、テイストが合わなかったのか、上映直後に映画館を退席された方が何人かいらっしゃいました。

山本耕史さんの舞台を観た後に観たんですが、
音楽がすごいカッコよくて、内容も泣けるし、すごいよかったです！！
プラトンの愛の起源がすごくロマンチックで大好きになりました！！
８０’ロックな衣装もすごくカワいかったです♪♪
