アップルサポートも誰が電話に出るかによって待たされたり話が通じなかったりするし、普通は購入店の延長保証とかに安く加入できるし必要ないと思わせて結構、macは微トラブルが出たりするから本当に難しい商品だよ。90日過ぎてからの電話サポートは1件5250円必要だし割安商品なようで使わなければ無駄金だし。アップルは商売上手。

A Kid's Review
いわゆる家電量販店の長期保証は、Mac（Apple）を契約対象外にしているケースがある。
信じられないが、本当だ。

また運良くiMacに保証をつけてくれたとしても、結局はAppleへ修理に出すため中間手数料が発生する。
そして、延長保証契約した店まで自力運搬しなくてはならない。更にiMacの様な一体型の場合、
パーツごとに保証期間が細切れになっていることが殆どだ（電源1年、HDD３年など）

…iMacは個人でHDDの換装をすることさえ難しい。アップル公認修理代行店へ依頼すればHDD交換だけで
４〜５万はかかる。もちろんHDD代は別途請求だ（基板交換になれば新品購入より高く付くこともある）。

AppleCareは決して安い買い物ではない。しかし、「舶来品」であるApple商品を購入する以上、その
存在価値は「掛け捨て保険」として認めざるを得ない。
