第12話「ライブアライブ」の後日談となる書き下ろしエピソードがドラマCD化。
一番の注目は新曲『First Good-Bye』になるのだろうが、
ドラマ部分も十分楽しめる内容になっている。
しかし、本エピソードは完全にギャグ中心になっているので注意。
「ライブアライブ」のようなストーリーは期待しない方がいい。

ドラマ部分は、SOS団メンバー全員がハルヒの声になってしまったり(要は平野綾による一人芝居)、
閉鎖空間内の巨大な敵を相手に歌で戦いを挑むみくる(歌うのはもちろん『恋のミクル伝説』)など聞き所満載。
キョン役の杉田智和による若本規夫(と思われる)のモノマネも必聴のデキ。

新曲『First Good-Bye』は、『God knows...』に比べるとインパクトには欠けるが、
良質なガールズパンクに仕上がってる。今回はメロディで勝負といったところか。
いかにも”10代の女の子”な感じが漂う歌詞とハルヒのキャラクターは水と油のような
気もするが、実は、ハルヒも歳相応にこういうことを思っているのかな、と
想像するとなんだか微笑ましくもなる。

シナリオ作ったのが谷川流とあるので実質ハルヒの最新刊になりますね。
「キョンの視点ではないハルヒ」を作り上げたサムデイインザレインと同じく
何かしでかしてくれるのではないでしょうか。

トラック数が10までありドラマCDなどを買ったことの無い自分は当初短編が10つあるものだと思っていましたが違うんですね。全部合わせて1つの物語になっていました。最後のトラックはキャラクターソングでしたが。
肝心の内容も完成度が高くとても楽しめました。頭の中でSOS団の会話や動きが映像化されておりすっかり物語の世界に入り込んでいました。全てが終わりCDが止まった頃にふと時計をみると約1時間も経過しており大変驚いたのを覚えています。まさに時が経つのも忘れていました。
声優って凄い、ドラマCDって凄い、涼宮ハルヒって凄いと心から感嘆しました。

涼宮ハルヒシリーズのファンの方はきっと楽しめる内容になってます。それこそ星5つでは足りないくらいかもしれません。聴き所満載です。
是非この「サウンドアラウンド」という世界を堪能して欲しいです。オススメです。
