僕はもう50歳に近い親父ですがＮＡＳはデビュー当時から大好き。
ライブＤＶＤも見たらすごかった！
あんなすごいライブができるラッパーは彼だけでしょう。
”Hip Hop Is Dead”での僕が小学生の頃に流行ったアイアンバタフライの
元祖ヘビメタ曲のベタ使いは面白いなって、Will i amって何才？
Jay-Zとの正調DIS合戦も終結しいよいよ円熟してきたのでは？
良い曲いっぱいだし、なにせフロウ自体素晴らしい。
リリックも相変わらず良いこと言ってるみたいだし（まあ、僕はあまり詩は気にしてないが）
文句なし星５つです。

　彼のラップのスキルは当時と比べてかなり成長していると思います。フロウのバリエーションも増えていますし...詩も内容が成熟してきました。ただし、昔のあの鋭さ、”i neve sleep, cuz sleep's a cuz of death"のようなパンチラインが最近の彼からは見られないように思います。それと相変わらずビートの選び方が問題ですね。このアルバムで彼が全体的に起用してる音は彼自身が”hiphop is dead"と唱える今のhiphopの流行にあわしたビートじゃないか(黄金期のビートを思わせる曲も数曲あるが、アルバムの芯は今の流行）？？このアルバムのコンセプトが全くわかりません。プリモのビートが外されたことから、そのまま売りにいってるようにしか思いません。Jayとのコラボも人並みに終わった感じですし...
　彼のリリックは相変わらず素晴らしいので聴く価値はあると思いますが...nasは自分の存在を見失ってるのでは？escoというギャングスタのパーソナをキャリアの中盤から取り入れてた彼は、現在自分自身を見失っているのでは?このhiphopは死んだと唱える彼の根本には自分の本質を見失い混乱しているnasがいるのでは？と思わってしまうほどどコンセプトが混乱したアルバムです。生粋のハスラーのjayとは違い、nasの本質はやはり詩人でしょう。昔からのリスナーとしては、escoとしてではなく、nasとして、詩人としての彼の本質が蘇るように次作に希望を託します。なにもillmaticをもう一度作れとリスナーは言ってるわけじゃないんです。ただ、あの１ｓｔのころのクオリティーでもう一度作品を作って欲しいわけです。hiphop isn' dead!

NASはトラックに恵まれたことが少ないラッパーだと思う。
個人的な印象としては声質やフロウが硬いというか、詰まった印象があるので全てのトラックに対して
オープンという訳にはいかないのだろう。
ビギーでさえトラックによってフロウや声の出し方を変化させていたのだから、ただ素晴らしいリリックを
ラップすればそれで最高のラッパーになれる訳ではない。
illmatic時のプロデューサーを揃えれば相性は文句ないのだから迷わず選べばいいのにと思ってしまった。
stillmatic時も好きだけど。
