ナイフ・エッジ・レーベル移籍第一弾となるジャズトロニックの新作。

今作はジャズトロニックらしさ全開のピアノとストリングスと淡いボーカルがたまらない「Love Tribe」、Monday満ちるが日本語詞と英語詞を絶妙にミックスして歌い上げた「Tiger Eyes」の完全英語詞版などを含む2枚組アルバムである。

しかしアルバム全体として見るとかなり散漫な印象で、「ジャズトロニックのファン」であるカスタマーには若干不満が残る内容となっている。というのもディスク1の終盤とディスク2の内容がRemix誌でも触れている通り外国産ハウスにかなり影響を受けているからと思われる。

ディスク2はノンストップミックス(JAZZTRONICA新作という位置づけ)だが、これがビックリするくらい普通のハウスミックスで、今話題のプロデューサーの音源を集めたポニーキャニオンのセルアウトの象徴としか思えない。

あとで聞きなおしたいと思ったのがLove Triveだけとなってくると、Nice Priceの理由が見えてきそうになり残念な気分になる。

Love Tribeは野崎さん本人が言っているように、すごくキャッチーな
曲ですね。クラブミュージックを普段聴かない人が聴いても「いいねぇ」と
言う万人向けの曲ではないでしょうか。この曲目当てでアルバムを買う人は
たくさんいるでしょうし・・・。

しかし、個人的には、3.Life Syncopetionが一番好きです。最近は、テクノ
やエレクトロッポくなおかつおしゃれな楽曲がどうも私のツボにはまるよう
なので。電子音とピアノの組み合わせってけっこう深いメロディーを作るこ
とが可能なんですね。今後もこういう曲たくさん作って欲しいです。

あと、Jazztronikファンならば、Tiger EyesのMonday満ちるバージョンも聴
く価値があるでしょう。やっぱりMondayさん歌うまいわ・・・。英語で本当に
良かったのかは、まぁ議論の余地がありますけど・・・。

最後になにしろこの内容でこの価格は安いです。買っときましょうぜ。

奈良美智の絵を彷彿とさせるジャケットの女の子がかわいい。

それよりも驚きなのは、アルバム・タイトルにもなっているLove Tribeのすばらしさ。久しぶりの鳥肌もん。日本語での分かりやすい、前向きなメッセージは元気が出る。

ノンストップ・ミックスなので、浸りたいときはかけっぱなしで幸せになれる。

かっこよさは折り紙つき。友達に自慢できること請け合い。
