将棋はルールを知っている程度で、詰め将棋は興味はありつつも、
ほとんどやったことはありませんでした。DSだから始められた＆続けられている者です。
ですので、詰め将棋の本や他のソフトと比べてどうかなどは全く分かりません。
しかし、本ソフト自体に非常に満足しているので、他がどうでも気になりません。

理由は↓の通り。
・問題数が多い（全680問）。
・問題の出題順に気を配っている。関連性のある問題が順に出題される。
・解説が充実している。とくに解いた後の問題をスコア帳で確認すると更に詳しい解説がある。
・単なるルール説明にとどまらない、内容ぎっしりの入門講座がある。
・渡辺プロの笑顔が愛嬌がある。

一つだけ気になるとすれば、認定モードの複数ユーザの登録手順が分かりにくいことと、
セーブデータが削除できないことでしょうか。

本で解くよりはわかりやすく詰め将棋が出来て
解説もわかりやすいです。

詰め将棋だけでなく実戦での囲いの崩し方、
受け方、攻め方、ニ枚落ちでの戦い方…など
詳しく解説してくれて「将棋が強くなりたい」と
思っている入門者に最適です。

しかし、その説明を読み進めるのにタッチペンでしか
操作できないのがちょっと不便です。
Aボタンでも読み進められるようにして欲しかったですね。
進むだけでバックログ機能がないのもいまいち。
本を読むように解説を読むソフトなのですから
直前の解説をもう一度戻って読み返したい、
というときに出来ないのは不便です。

詰め将棋を解いていくモードは級が上がっていったりして
やりがいがあります。最初は簡単な一手詰めで
三手詰め、五手詰め、と次第に難しくなっていくうえに
680問も収録されているので詰め将棋の本を３〜４冊買うと思えば
意外とお買い得かもしれません。

手筋の解説や駒の使い方、詰め将棋を解くコツ、などの
解説は実際の駒の動きを見せながら丁寧にしてくれるので
本当にわかりやすく将棋の勉強になります。
字も大きめなので年輩の方でも読みやすいのではないでしょうか。

十字キー＋ABボタンでの入力、バックログ、に
対応してくれていたら文句なく素晴らしいソフトでした。
あと、パッケージの写真はもっと写りが良いのを
選んであげれば良かったのに…。竜王が可哀想です。

まず詰め将棋の本と比べてみてペンタッチなので本をみるだけで頭の中で駒を
動かすイメージよりか使い勝手が良い。
初心者には入門講座という付録が魅力的です。これは将棋のルールから詰め将棋の
やり方、実際の将棋に出てくる手筋などをまとめていますので、
初心者の方はここから始めると良いでしょう。
とくに手筋入門は「将棋.ひと目の手筋」（渡辺明監修）から抜粋したものなので
このゲームソフトを買えばこの本を買わずに済む。
渡辺竜王の解説はコンパクトですが的を得てわかりやすいです
（一般の詰め将棋の本と比べてみても）
レベルとしては初心者から中級者向けです。１手詰めから５手詰めを６８０題
入れて数多くこなすことを本ソフトは目的にしていますから。
欠点はやはりソフトの値段でして、他の詰め将棋を入れて解答させられなくて
この価格は高い！
