薬師丸ひろ子の主演映画『セーラー服と機関銃』。
その主題歌は、このオリジナル・バージョンで記憶している。
星勝の編曲は、E・ギターのリフレインで始まり、
マンドリンがそれを引き継ぐ。

しかし、彼女のベスト盤には、井上鑑編曲の新しいバージョンが
収められ、ボーカルも録り直されている。

この編曲も悪くはないが、冒頭に繰り返される打楽器が強すぎて、
オリジナル・バージョンが耳に残っている者としては、
どうも印象的になじめず、うまく自分の中に着地しない。

彼女には、『角川映画＊女優ボーカル＊セレクション』というCDもある。
この１曲目が「セーラー服と機関銃」だ。
映画を強調しているCDなのだから、オリジナル・バージョンが収録されているべきなのに、
なぜかこれも新バージョン。

どうしたらオリジナル・バージョンが聴けるのか？と思っていたら、
このCDが出た。
2006年、長澤まさみ主演で、このタイトルが再映像化された。
そのリバイバルに便乗しての復刻である。
ジャケットは、あの当時の、機関銃掃射シーンの薬師丸ひろ子。
1981年。彼女は、当時17歳。25年の歳月が流れている。

聴いてみると、たしかに古い。
音源はきれいにリマスターされているが、
1983年の「探偵物語」以降の彼女の優れた楽曲群の中には、
曲のクオリティーの問題として
入れられないことがよく分る。
それだけ、それ以降に彼女が歌うことで生み出された
日本語ポップスが素晴らしかったということなのだが。
わずか2年の差だけど、この違いは、決定的だ。

ただ、カップリングされている「あたりまえの虹」（作詞：小椋佳）という曲が、
素朴だが、印象深いものになっていて、驚いた。
彼女のソロ・ボーカルが前に出ていて、
初期レコーディング作品の新鮮さを、味わうことができる。

なぜか彼女のアルバムには収録されなかったオリジナルアレンジの『セーラー服と機関銃』。
81年当時の初々しい彼女の歌声が聴けるのは感激ですね。
コーラス部に入っていたというからその澄んだ歌声に酔い痴れます。
価格も手頃でいいですね。長澤まさみファンにもぜひ聴いて、買っていただきたいです。
損はしませんよ。

主人が薬師丸ひろ子さんのファンで、”セーラー服と機関銃”が大好きで購入しました。当時は、レコードしかなく、ポスターが欲しくて、予約するともらえました。ジャケットのポスターも主人の書斎に今でもはってあります。このシングルＣＤは、当時の薬師丸ひろ子さんのレコード盤の歌声をそのまま聴ける唯一のＣＤです。薬師丸ひろ子さんがアルバムを多く出していますが、その中の曲は、アレンジしたものばかりで、当時のオリジナルを聴けます。当時の薬師丸ひろ子さんの歌声が再現されています。ファンの方は、当時を思い出されると思います。
