アニメ「ゼーガペイン」がアクションシューティングゲームに。2006年夏に発売された「ゼーガペイン XOR」で謎に包まれていたストーリーが敵(ガルズオルム)側の視点から描かれ、ミッション進行と同時に解明されていく。機体の全身カスタマイズは3000種類以上の組み合わせが可能。パートナー・スキル・カラーリングを組み合わせるとバリエーションはさらに増える。前作「XOR」のユーザーと本作「NOT」ユーザーでネットワークが対戦できる、ゲーム史上初のクロスディスクネットワーク対戦仕様になっている。

ゼーガペインのアニメをみたことがないので特典ディスクやストーリの内容に関しては省略します。
ゼーガペインXORとの違い。
1、ブリーフィング画面で全員に話しかけなくても出撃することができる。（指揮官だけ話すとか）
2、出撃画面をとばすことができる（ON,OFFが可能）
3、ミッション開始時、作戦目標が表示される。敵のライフが表示されるなどシステムがXORより、親切になっている点が良い。
4、ゼーガペインXORとゼーガペインNOTのディスク同士でネット対戦ができる。
5、難易度が大幅に変化。ホーミング弾だけで倒すことが難しくなっている。
　　敵ゼーガとの戦闘回数も多く、敵の数が多かったり、堅い敵もいるため、XORよりは楽しめる。
ただ、武器パーツの数が少ないのが残念です。（使う武器が決まって来る）
全体的に見てXORはノーマル、NOTはハードみたいな難易度になっているように感じられます。
ネット対戦はあいかわらず人がいないので、ネット対戦する人はあまり期待しない方がいいかもしれません。
あとジャンルをアクションとしてみるより、シューティングとしてみた方ががいいと思います。

このゲームが気になる人の中にはアヌビスファンも少なくないと思いますが、
私もその中の一人です。
操作法も似てますし、次世代機と呼ばれる３６０だけにすごく期待したんですが・・・。

まず、基本的に逃げ回っての戦いになると思います。
積極的に間合いを詰めて壁に叩きつけたりというあの爽快感は味わえません。
というより、接近戦に持ち込むメリットがありません。
さらに残念なのは、高速バトルが持ち味のゲームなのに、
横に高速移動しながらだとまず無誘導弾が当たらない。
（動いてない地上の目標なんかにも当たりません。）
中には手動操作で当てられるツワモノもいるかと思いますが、
操作性が悪いしどうしてもホーミング弾の連発になりガチ…。

なによりジェフティのほうが単純にカッコいいですし・・・。
少しばかりがっかりでした。

私は声優界の歌姫・坂本真綾のファンなので彼女の持ち役はみんな好きです。そんな彼女が演じる今回初めてのダーティーヒロインは新鮮過ぎます。ニンバスとデュープの口論は個人的にエアリスとクラウドの破局に聞こえて耳が痛いですね。因みにこのゲームにはスタッフの努力を感じられるので、★4です。
