5.0 out of 5 stars 「清順流フイルム歌舞伎」という命名, 2007/8/26
夢幻の登場人物たちに迷宮に翻弄されるような主人公の頼り無さも、 松田優作の独特の味になった。
絢爛たる豪華な色彩の着物と舞台セットが、大楠道代の妖艶なる美しさを際立たせていた。

「ツィゴイネルワイゼン」に続き、「陽炎座」も、あの世の引力を全編のトーンに充満させた怖い絵巻物でもあるのだが、その爛熟の果てに到達したかのようなその映像の、全編に息をもつかせぬ美しさが充満して、あらためて日本文化の美術感覚と映画の様式美を思い出させた映画。

登場する人物がすべてどこか現世的でない空気を持っているのだが、ただひとり加賀まりこは生身の生命力をかもし出していたのは許されたものか意図されたか、知るよしもないのだが、あれは加賀まりこというひとのつよい役者の性だったのだろうか。

逆にテレビでは司会などで元気な切れるテンポで押しまくるような楠田枝理子が、この映画では着物を着た静かな人形の風情で佇んでいる姿が怖い。

陽炎座の舞台小屋崩壊のスペクタルといい、そして、まるで映画の背景としての壁紙のように、徐々に妖しく増殖していく殺戮地獄絵図が過剰なほどにめくるめく、男女のあの世へのみちゆきの舞台を、そんな大道具セットたちが華麗に演出している。

ほうずきのみごとな朱色を生かして、水中のマジックを魅せたシーンも特に印象的。

前作と違って、目に見えるモノにすべて映画芸術の魅力を投影させようとしたかのような、ある意味で余裕のようなものが感じられるのは、前作「ツィゴイネルワイゼン」の絶大な成功に支えられたものと言えるかも知れない。
それはその分、「陽炎座」という映画は、誰にも感情移入を試みることができないというほどの美術仕掛けの映画・・ともいえるだろうか。

主要な女性（加賀まりこも含め）に惚れられていた玉脇…。
中村嘉葎雄のスゴイ演技で、見事な説得力。
あの背筋がスゴイ。あの芸者のカッコがスゴイ。
すばらしい悪役ぶりです。こりゃモテるわけだ。
この映画のリアリティ（？）を後ろから強烈に支えています。

松田優作はやや損な役回りですが、押さえた演技が魅力的です。
豪華な印象の映画で、映像は凝ったものです。
ストーリーは（ツィゴイネルワイゼンに比べ）わかりやすいほうで、途中までは、直線的に理解できます（…たぶん）。
が、終盤は圧倒的です。

芝居小屋が崩れた（心中した？）あとの、突き抜けた松田優作の表情が魅力的で恐ろしいです。（夢が現世を変えたんだ…）

絢爛たる清順歌舞伎の裏側がわかっておもしろい。荒戸サンのオーディオコメンタリーや監督出演者の裏話が面白い。あの大ファンの松田優作が四苦八苦し悪戦苦闘したエピソードは興味深い。以前のＤＶＤを処分して買いなおしたが期待にたがわなっかった。
