　WinXpでのデータ転送に使用するつもりで購入しました。
　HomeEditionどうしでは問題無く接続できたのですが、Pro.Editionでは認識はするものの相手の中が見れません。Pro-Pro、Pro-Homeでも試しましたがHome-Homeどうしでしか使用できませんでした。
　設定が他にもあるのかもしれませんが（Admini権限が必要とか･･･）説明書にはHomeとProの違いが述べられていないので星3つとしました。

　これまでは使用している２台のPC間で、データの移動は専ら外付けHDDやメモリースティックを使い、いくつもの手順を踏んでデータ移動をしていました。

　　PC-aからデータを外部メモリへ
　　↓
　　ハードウェアの取り外し
　　↓
　　外部メモリのUSBポートを刺し変え
　　↓　
　　外部メモリからデータをPC-bへ

　さらにPC-bからPC-aへデータ移動をするのならば、もう一度同じ手順を踏んでいました。

　それら煩わしい作業をを短縮したのが　この商品。リンクケーブルはつけっぱなしOKです。
　２台のPCが起動してあればいつでも使用出来ます。

　　PC-aとPC-bで専用アプリを起動（インストール不要）
　　↓
　　アプリ内でPC-aとPC-bデータ移動を許可
　　↓
　　両PCの間でのデータ移動がドラッグ＆ドロップで可能に

　使い慣れてしまった今では　殆どデータ移動が終わってしまい、出番が減ってしまいました。

　頻繁に２台のPC間データ移動する人には　お勧めです。
