個性の強い楽曲が並んだ中で統一感ある色彩を与えることが出来た成田忍さんのアレンジは２０年近く経った今でも古くならないし、いつでもトリッキーで新鮮。そして遊佐さんの歌唱は現在では残念ながら望むべくも無い美しさでキャリア中ベストだと思います。特に“桜”“月姫”“ステイション”といった作家さんの色が強く出た作品における変化に富んだ表現は今こそ歌い手としてもう一度見直して欲しい優れたものです。多様な可能性に恵まれた志の高い音楽家達の才能の結晶。こんなレコードにまた出会いたいなぁ。

現在のライブでも頻繁に演奏される楽曲も多く、それぞれが秀逸。メロディと彼女の伸びやかな歌声は素晴らしいが、デビュー当時の声は、その後のアルバムや現在と比較すると、まだ随分と固い印象を受ける。アレンジも、ライブで聴くと、「こんなに素晴らしい曲だったのか」との発見が多いが、最初に買って聞いた時は、他のアルバムと比べて聞き劣ることは否めず、がっかりしたのを覚えている。
