森山直太朗3作連続リリースの到達点は、「新たなる香辛料を求めて」(2004年5月26日)以来、実に2年半ぶりのオリジナル・フル・アルバム!シングル既発曲「風花」「君は五番目の季節」」をはじめ、9月にリリースしたシングル「風になって」を代表としたPOPな側面あり、最新シングル「恋しくて/夢みたい~だから雲に憧れた~」で聴かせる渾身のバラードあり、フォーク・チューンあり、ストーリーテリング的ナンバーあり・・・、と非常にバラエティに富んだアルバムが、遂に完成しました!

【アーティストについて】
1976年4月23日生まれ、東京都出身。
2002年10月、ミニアルバム『乾いた唄は魚の餌にちょうどいい』でメジャーデビュー。
翌年リリースした『さくら(独唱)』で大ブレイクを果たす。叙情的な詩世界とその独自な歌声が注目を集めた。その後もコンスタントなリリースを続け、2005年にはそれまでの活動の節目としてベストアルバム『傑作撰2001~2005』を発売。また同年夏から約一年間に及ぶロングツアー『君は五番目の季節』を敢行。ライブ実績としては過去最大の11万人の動員となった。
また近年では、音楽以外の表現活動にも意欲的で、CS系番組の司会やFMラジオのDJなど活動範囲を着実に広め、2006年7月には役者としての舞台出演も果たした。

森山直太朗の今が感じられるアルバム。
アルバムが手元に届いて三日目。毎日聞きながら私はそう感じています。
最初、二年半ぶりのアルバムを聴くのにちょっと勇気が必要でした。
森山直太朗の世界はどう変わったのか？
そんな期待でいっぱいな気持ちに、ほんの少しの不安も入り混じって。

でも彼の世界は変わらず、というかより魅力を増したように思えます。
一曲目「風になって」から始まり、終わりまで彼の世界から離れられずにいました。
シングルとしてすでになじみのある曲もこうして一枚のアルバムに収まると
また違った顔を見せてくれます。それはリ・アレンジされているとか関係無しにです。

アルバムの全ての曲が色んな物に対するいとおしさで溢れています。
季節と共に、また一日の中の、いつ聴くかによっても曲の表情は変わっていく様な…。
そんな森山直太朗の「今」、それをひとりでも多くの人に感じて欲しいです。

待ちに待ったニューアルバムです。
直太朗さんのアルバムは最初から最後まで‘通して聴いて’こそ！だと思います。
一曲一曲の完成度の高さ、魅力もさることながら、全曲通して聴いた時の心地よさったらたまりません。
直太朗さんの‘歌声の表情’の豊かさは、本当に素晴しいと思います。
それぞれの曲が役割を持ってそこにおさまっている、そんなアルバムです。
良くご存知のシングル曲もいつもとは違った魅力を見せてくれている、そんな風に感じました。

タイアップ曲の集まりと思っていると、鼻パンチをくらう。
特に社会人１５年目の私の身には「平凡ブルース」「しまった生まれてきちまった」
が身とココロにしみた。ゴメンナサイ。
ボーナストラックの2曲はどちらも親密でリラックスしていて、幸せなキモチを共有できる
こと請け合い！直太ｌｅｒでよかったなぁ〜
でもどーしてボーナスにしちゃったのかな？「マザーアース」から続けて「風になって」
を聴くと鳥肌が・・・・・なのに。
