はじめからヨーロッパ式のいわゆる調整音楽を習わせたいのであれば、調律をしてあると明記してある木琴を購入しましょう。ただし1万円強でも正確な調律がしかも木できているかといえば到底無理です。幅広い意味で音を感じる楽しむという目的であれば楽しければ目的は果たせています。すでに音楽は12音階の平均率で成り立ついわゆるクラシック音楽で成り立つジャンルはごく一部です。西欧式音楽をベースにする音大に入れたい場合は最初から楽器店で高価でもしっかりした「楽器」を与えましょう。自分で加工してもかえって並んでいるようで変に近いだけで逆効果です。ばらばらの方が別のものだと認識できるので弊害は少ないでしょう。

木琴の音程は違いますが、私はタダの打楽器と感じて、そういう物を要求する物とは思っていません。子供も、全ての楽器が音が出る物程度という認識です。（音程に関しては、自分でピアノを弾いてピアノで感じているようです。）小さい子供は、叩く、振る程度の操作しかできないため、それに十分対応していると思います。アイテムも多いので、大人が考えつかないような、音の出し方を考えます。ウチの1歳、3歳の子供は毎日楽しく遊んでいます。なので、何度片付けてもすぐにぐちゃぐちゃになってしまいます。

　箱には確かに「素材の性質上、音は調律されておりません。ご了承の上、ご使用下さい。」とありますが…みなさんはどの程度の調律のズレだと思いますか？
　木琴のﾄﾞﾚミがどれ一つあっていません。
　調の問題ではないのです。ﾄﾞﾚミになっていないのです。
　いくら玩具だとしてもここまで狂った音でどこが知育玩具といえるでしょう。
　ちなみに私が購入したものはﾄﾞであるはずの赤がＥ♯でした。ならばその調でいってくれればいいのに、レであるはずの橙がＣです。下がっているんですよ!!
　次のミであるはずの黄色はＦでﾌｧであるはずの黄緑がＧ
　順にたたくと、本当に気持ちが悪いです。
　結局、おさえてある木を壊し、全てを抜き取り、ノコギリとヤスリで調律して使用しています。冗談じゃありません。ふざけるな！といいたいです。
